New SEGA Trademarks! Virtua...

You know it will never happen. Sega doesn't like common sense. :(
Is this a joke I'm not getting, because I can't imagine Virtua On being even playable with the revmote. I can't think of a game less suited to waggling at the screen than VO with its quick jumps and dash attacks. It'd be like playing PGR with a dance mat.

Yes, because you've used the Rev controller right?

Remember, 2 revmotes. Believe

two non-centering gyroscopic thingums pretending to be digital joysticks are an obvious improvement on an actual pair of digital joysticks. don't give me this "you haven't played virtual on" business -- i'll play virtual on when its controls enter the 21st fucking century. on revolution. yeah.

I honestly prefer the Sega saturn standard controller style for Virtual On than the sticks. It worked really well. I couldn't get a handly of the Dreamcasts version.

Plus SEGA fucked everything up with Virtual On: Marz anyhow.

So with no actual source we've got new Rez and Virtual On with two Revmotes.

Clap.

Clap.

Revolution threads based on unsubstantiated blogs are teh greatest!

virtua on force is total bliss though

I wrote it several months ago and I'll say it again: Virtual On would be a perfect match for the Revolution (as well as many other Sega franchises. Hear that Sega? Come back to your arcade roots!)

Yeah, I know. I played the original VO in the arcade and suffered through twinstick mode in MARZ. The sticks work because they're locked to a base. Revmotes will be free floating, so I can't see how you can pull percision movement in this context. I'm not a hater of the revmote at all, but I can't see them replacing twinsticks without creating a very different control scheme, which would be the same as adapting the game to a controller. Virtua Cop and Virtua Tennis seem like better contenders.

The amount of Virtua Retardedness in this thread is amazing

BTW I played 4 hours of Virtua Quest before I threw up and quit. It was basically if interns were told to make a new "Spikeout" with Lua or something, and there were cutscenes like this:

Akira (Horrible English voice): I WILL TEACH U TO BE STRONG
Jeffry (White guy doing the voice): I WISH TO DEFEAT THE SATAN SHARK, NOW I WILL TEACH YOU A KICK

I knew it.
I so called for a new Virtual On Game.
Now to see if I get what system it will be on (Thinking Revo).

Edit: Doh, guess not...

OMG, stop it. Stop saying shit would be better on the Revolution for the sake of speculation. The Revolution's input functions are completely different from a traditional controller or the above mentioned Twin Sticks for the Saturn. How can you honestly sit there and tell me that a game not designed around the "Rev-mote" would be a perfect fit for the Revolution? You don't know that. Nintendo has only demonstrated a small amount of possible uses for the "Rev-mote" and even with that taken into consideration there's no guarantee that any of these possible uses would translate into very good games. How many people saying so-and-so game would be perfect on the Revolution have actually used the "Rev-mote?" Again, it's just mindless speculation that isn't grounded in reality. Speculation over FPS's seems fair to me because Nintendo has actually demonstrated this themselves. But, REZ? Virtual On? Come on. Virtual On is especially irritating because Sega already designed the perfect input device for that game. There are many more that escape me at the moment but I'm sure you have all seen similar posts whenever a new game is announced (ie, so-and-so game would be better on Revolution). It's all the same principle. I'm not even going to mention that Nintendo might not include two "Rev-motes" in the box (ie, therefore minimizing the possibility that a game would actually be designed to take advantage of two "Rev-motes" at one time) because then I'd be guilty of unnecessary speculation.

I realize that you guys are excited over Revolution, that's great, but let's wait to see actual games specifically designed for the "Rev-mote" before we go nuts. Most of this speculation is baseless and highly irritating.

Damn, you're right, Rez would work perfectly with the revmote.

Jet Set Radio Revolution.

Spraying graffiti with the controller ^^

Wouldn't know about how to control the rest though =p

3$ plastic without electronics ftw.

While I agree that nothing will be the PRECISION of the twin sticks, there's a lot more they could do with a dual revmote control scheme. Being able to turn one stick horizontally to activate another function.
