sweet, part 3 goes into the Rocco shit too. That was awesome.
Interesting. I didn't realize it was just a few months off.Keen said:Release Date:

I'd imagine so. The trailer as a whole is very cinematic so that low-follow view is likely purposeful for the intent of the trailer. Not including a basic traditional camera would surprise me since it's very easily done and provides an invaluable option.bodyrock666 said:Hopefully you've got camera options, but i'd like a dynamic camera option, or at least a ground level camera for street that pans out for gaps & tricks.
Oh, and PAT DUFFY CONFIRMED! WHOOOOHOOO!!!!
Using both sticks though means no easy way to control the camera.KyanMehwulfe said:I'd imagine so. Carnie was one-time editor of Big Brother, the excellent but now defunct skateboarding magazine created by Jeff Tremaine (Jackass) and published by Larry Flynt (Tips and Tricks, some other magazines).
I think Carnie may have inadvertantly scooped some info regarding the game in this blog post. He mentions that he helped write the game and mentions some of the pro-skaters that are involved: Danny Way, Mark Gonzales, Colin McKay, Chris Haslam, Pat Duffy, Jerry Hsu.
Some pics from a shoot for the game.

Rob and Big as gay bikers?
I've always posited that the new THPS games didn't suck because they had a retarded story, but because their retarded story sucked. Perhaps Carnie will be able to show them how its done?
This was posted in a thread but it sunk. Thought I'd post here.http://www.enjoico.com/cache/video-data/37/video.mov

Arguably this is a form of in-game advertising for what will potentially be a big selling game. Skateboarding in America is bigger than baseball now.
EA obviously feels that these companies are guests in their game, that the game will reach a lot of people and sell a lot of product at once.
I don't think the game will work without the co-operation of EA and the brands though. If EA coughed up a little dough the companies could put together some quality material and make it a decent reward in the game.
Thoughts on this please. Should EA pay or is it simply a glamourised form of in game advertising? What would Tiger Woods say?
edit. nobody? oh well, should've gone for a controversial title like EA Skate doomed.

Seeing those Gonz photos takes me back, wild stuff. Ray Barbee in this would be awesome, super technical fluid street skating like the 'Incredible Rubber Boys' segment at the start of Public Domain. Good times.
666 said:Yeah, how damn good is that intro!!! And the song! Ray Barbee would be an awesome addition, agreed. As would Neil Blender, Christian Hosoi, Chris Miller, Lance Mountain... Very stoked Pat Duffy is in it!
cilonen said:Pat Duffy too.. too good. And yes, that intro is my favourite skate vid intro of all time - talk about amping you up!

kenta said:It's all about the controls. From what we've heard, everything you see in that video is done with only the two analog sticks (and probably a shoulder button or two). There are no 2 billion-point combos that last for minutes on end, it's all about the smooth simple tricks and lines you see in actual skate videos. It looks really really good... But again, Homecourt and Icon are pretty big red flags

666 said:Hell yeah!!! Nowwww, as you witness the extrodinary exploits of the incrrredible rubber boys... Steve Saiz, Eric Sanderson, Rrrrrrray Barbie and CHET! Thomas!!
And the first time I saw Pat Duffy's part in Questionable... Was the first time I ever heard Primus, and the first time i'd ever seen anyone demolish rails like that... And the rain section! Shit, that's like 16 years ago!!!!
Anyway... Good times...
QFT! This is my most wanted console game, I can't wait to hear how it plays.railGUN said:I hope so bad it's next gen Thrasher Skate and Destroy.

SolidSnakex said:It's not sarcasm, I think they're feeling the heat. I really haven't been interested in TH games since the 2nd one and this is pretty much the first skateboarding game since then that's gotten my attention.
StranGER said:would be all kinds of greatness if you could just meet friends online and stand there and watch them take a run on a half pipe or bowl or whatever then take a go yourself and not HAVE TO go do missions against each other. capturing the feel of just going to a skatepark with some buddies and having free roam to do whatever would be a huge selling point for me.
