New Steam Early Access sword fighting game 'Hellish Quart'. Most realistic animation in a game yet?

A fighting game about sword dueling, in which the blades really clash using physics, and the characters use motion captured fencing techniques. Play as one of many 17th century warriors and use sabers, rapiers, broadswords and many other blades in quick fights, survival mode or LOCAL multiplayer with friends (you can play online too with Steam Remote Play Together).

Dat animation tho. The game doesnt look half bad either. 'Overwhelmingly positive' user reviews so far too.
Think i may have to check this one out.

Wasn't that stuff kind of pulled off with the Fight Night games on the Xbox 360 using euphoria motion?

Was so good that Rockstar games used it on their games from GTA IV and onwards for more believable animations, Pretty much run on AI prediction and e.g. if NPC see an object coming at them they prepare their impact and landing.
Its ground breaking tech.

Saw a IGN video about this game one hour ago, where an expert in swordfighting reacted to the game, and I was really impressed by it

Looks like a lot of fun. Great animation and cloth physics.

Really cheap too

Looks really good. Gotta keep this in my radar

Would be cool to see this level of detail in combat animation but within the scale of a game like Sea of Thieves

It's animations like that which still shows there's a lot left to get done in games as a whole. That's a complement to the game.

We're still not quite there yet in games when it comes to lighting and shadows. Same goes for a lot to do in the AI space also.

Just bought it he he. It looks so damn good, and it feels great. Very fun so far.
Have to go out for a bit but will play more later.

Edit. You can pause the game and there is an extensive move list. I was just button mashing and trying different stuff as i only had a few mins to play. The game seems very fun though.
