More importantly - the trailer finally proves it's a GC and not a PS2 port. The scene with the burning barrels show lighting that was not in the PS2-version. So that's great to see. Now it just needs to be real 16:9, full 480p resolution, no letterboxing, no crop&zoom.. I would even like a fullscreen 4:3 mode.
My guess about the black bars showing on the TV is that he's not actually playing the game (the TV is showing a pre recorded movie, ostte) so the original picture WITH overscan area is shown within the visible TV screen, but will be different when we get to play it. (hopefully)

I thought the commercial was ok. It got a bit awkward at the end with the hugging and shit. But otherwise I like the way they showed how immersive or engaging the game is.

That video dl'd way too fast, it just streamed straight off. That must have been like 800kbps. Plus it was huge, like almost full screen for me.
