The only letdown is that the extras are recycled mini-games from Super Mario 64 DS. Outside of that, this game is rediculously well designed.

The only mario that is a tremendous challenge is SMB2. The rest are pretty damn easy.

every mario is short. They can ALL be easily completed in 3 hours or less (yes,even SMS and SM64).

Aside from Super Mario Bros. 2, they're all somewhat easy, as well.

If you enjoyed ANY previous mario platformers, you'll love NSMB.

It sounds like it's about as hard as every great Mario game. I don't see a problem. And, again, like the best Marios, sure you can pipe around and get to the end real fast. But there's a ton of depth and shit to do.

Yes, they were actually. To me, at least. Each of those game were around the 20 hour mark and had hard modes that were a bitch (time trial in SotC's case). I remember Mario 3 being quite hard and lengthy, but I've not really played it since I was a kid. I'm gonna get the game day and one from the videos I'm sure to love it, I'm just not quite on the OMFGGOTY! bandwagon because of the length and challenge comments.
