Not entirely though. The scientist in Salvation was an actual human being. It later used her face to simply connect with Marcus while still being a AI.It happened in Salvation.
He really looks like an ape there.
His role has been revealed (AND GUESS WHAT? ITS TERRIBLE!):
"Smiths role has been one of many questions surrounding the next installment of the Terminator series, but Latino Review may know his identity. There was a recent test screening in Arizona where a small group saw the film, and one of the anonymous audience members revealed that Smith plays Skynet. Or at least the "embodiment of Skynet."
His character is being compared to Helena Bonham Carters in Terminator: Salvation. She played a Cyberdyne scientist, but later shows up as the face of the evil computer system that is trying to wipe out the human race. It sounds like hes the personification of the villainous network, which is a definite change from the first two movies, where Skynet is a more esoteric, looming threat."

I have a feeling this is going to be the "so bad it's good" type of movie.
Everything is lining up to just be the perfect amount of terrible, I personally can't wait.

Ugh I wish they would follow the darker, grimey style of the future war from the first two Terminators. The above looks pretty awful.

.Making Skynet human or giving it a human face is such a cardinal sin against the Terminator myth

Has the reasoning behind the "Genisys" title ever been explained? It's such a baffling choice, Genesis sounds fine and fits with the premise. Why is it misspelled???
Looks like this Todd gif has been topped

This movie has written horrible all over it....arnie or not i am not going to watch it. Just going to watch the best terminator movies instead.
Especially when it had autonomous vehicles in every other movie. Did these people ever actually watch Terminator or are they basing this movie off of some gifs they saw once? Not only that, but why is skynet making trucks that need to be steered by another robot?
Even this still looks badass to this day.

Of all the shots they could showcase to hype this movie....someone thought this one was a good idea!?
That looks horrific, sweet Jesus.

Shit, as expected.
Also weren't there rumours that..., (Be warned..., SUPER SPOILER)John Connor turns into a cyborg after he's somehow 'infected' by a computer virus. I'm not joking. Apparently that's what happens. Humans can catch computer viruses somehow and when they do it turns them into cyborgs.

As negative as I am regarding this shitshow, I really don't think this is true. It's too much.

I can't begin to understand why people believe this will be better than the previous two.
Where did you come up with such an idea?In t2.. When Sarah is banging against the fence and is blasted by the nuke at the same time in her dream... Feels like an appropriate response to that news
Complains film is going to be shit. Wants Neill Blomkamp to take over.Neill Blomkamp should have been in charge of the new terminators. oh god this is going to be shit.
