Looks absolutely stunning/awesome.

Loving the voice work, the music/sounds and the combat, all looks great to me, and even though i have so many games to play and very little time, this looks like it's going to be a blast and have a mature/serious narrative.

One or two of the comments in the thread, not so stunning or awesome :D

Yeah sorry there is some blood but it isn't very prominent.

Also, more importantly, it disappears and doesn't form onto the floor or anything (like it does in TLOU). Even KZ2 did this (SF took this away for the most part for what reason I'll never know). Look at the earlier GIF of KZ2 in this thread.

Anyways, there isn't always blood and when there is, it seems to just disappear.

Perfect. It's time to move the goalpost.

Puzzles? Exploration? Where?
I'm sure there's at least some light exploration at times, maybe a small puzzle here and there, but those sorts of things are hard to show well in a trailer as opposed to high action. RaD's also kept lots under wraps, no lycan combat or setpieces have been shown. Breather moments and those more focused on slower pace are probably kept quiet prerelease so that they have a stronger impact in game.

Puzzles? Exploration? Where?

In recent gameplay we saw the electrical fuse blower puzzle, plus there was a bit of pick locking, and we've heard there are other puzzles that require you to use Thermite to melt and mould certain structures.

We've seen snippets of exploration in the numerous gameplay videos and trailers, including this one. Hell one demo/trailer consisted almost entirely of Sir Gallahad exploring a creepy dark hospital with nothing but a lantern.

But I ask you again, what to you constitutes depth?

Um... most all the gameplay they've shown goes from player-control to cinematic without any cuts. They are probably changing the quality of certain things like the animation rigs and sub-surface precision for those areas, but there has been no real visual change between either.

As for the gameplay being a poor mans Uncharted? Really? I think you have no idea what you're talking about. This looks more like Gears + God of War than anything out of Uncharted. Slow-motion gunplay, weapons and devices from Nikolai Tesla. Steam punk and werewolves. Totally Uncharted.
GOW, really now, how does this look anything like GOW, now that is crazy talk! I still wouldn't compare it to Gears at all, it's got nothing like the same pace of action as Gears with the way you wall bounce from cover to cover to flank and get out of danger, it's got the much slower pace of Uncharted.

For me that's like comparing COD and Killzone, both are FPS but one is fast paced all out action and the other is slower and more deliberate.

So I'm forbidden to hope for a little bit of depth until the last month of release?
I gave the game the benefit of the doubt because they didn't show much yet, but now I'm convinced there is nothing else to expect. Sorry to not proclaim this game as a life changing experience.

It doesn't need to be one. How many games are?

If you play Uncharted slow and deliberate you're doing it wrong.

I don't think I would compare it to Gears, since gameplay wise that is the step above the rest of the TPS and Uncharted's gunplay is well below that but UC has the great story and presentation hence why I'd compare the two and this looks to be worse than UC gameplay wise. This also has some platforming elements which Gears has none of.

I'd like to be hyped with you all but I'm just really not feeling it.

Have you ever bothered to articulate exactly what it is you're looking for that this doesn't have? Saying, "It doesn't do it for me" or insisting that it rests below two other series in the hierarchy of TPS and that one of those is superior to the other - again, without any specific complaints or praise - reeks of contrarianism, especially in light of false statements and backpedaling.
Constructive criticism is always welcome, but what you're doing is hard to distinguish from shit posting.

By slowing that gif down you really see every little detail of the aftermath of the explosion. I think that's bone you can see, and his side is smoking.

I'm loving all of this - but nobody seems to have noticed a pretty big animation jump here.

The instant the grenade explodes, the guy's model defaults to the Vitruvian Man pose,
arms straight out, legs straight down - I know, not really Vitruvian,
before reacting to the explosion. Must be an artifact of swapping the model out over one frame? It's easy to be distracted by the explosion particles, and frankly isn't much of an issue, so no real biggie. But that Vitruvian pose screams 'it's just a game' for me and shatters the suspension of disbelief, even if only briefly.

I obviously meant 1080p lol. Even with those screenshots gameplay still doesn't look as good as the cutscenes but clearly I must be seeing something different to the rest of you.

Putting graphics aside the gameplay still looks like a poor mans Uncharted so I still don't understand the appeal but you never know, some games look like crap to play but are good once you play it yourself.

Every comment you make is worse than the last. Bravo.

Well at least it's something else. What is the else in The Order?

Explained in the post you ignored:

I'll reserve that judgement for when I actually play it. TPS are all mostly comprised of core shooting and cover and vary depending on the scenario, enemy tactics, etc. Not sure what your looking for out of The Order but it simple sounds like it's not for you.

Haha, oh no. Now i'm going to see that every time. Thanx a lot.

Quite the opposite, actually. Staying behind one piece of cover and picking guys off is a great way to get outflanked and gunned down on harder difficulties.

I've finished DF on Hard and 2 on Crushing, and always found that trying to move around just got me killed all the time, ended up moving from cover to cover to evade flanking, but always methodically :P

That's not a T pose, guys, it's clearly just a one frame jump from "throw animation" to "react to explosion animation." If it really went through the T pose first it would be much, much more noticeable.

I noticed it but I presumed it was deliberate; it looks right to me, just like the sudden bodily reaction to a concussive blast should be.

By now everyone should know whether or not they like TPS games, which this clearly is. I never really understood the problem about that. I for one am all for it. Seems like every game this gen wants to be open world and it's making me less and less likely to finish the games I play. I have Far Cry 4 and Shadow of Mordor just sitting here because of that. Having something straight and simple like the Order is perfect for me right now because it means I can actually devote the time into experiencing it completely.

Looks like a natural slow motion reaction to the force of the explosion.
