New Titanfall gameplay [Gamescom]

Man playing this with the Xbox one controller on the launch of the game...hngh..gona be awesome.

But thats my opinion. Even if the PC did support the Xbox one controller when this game is released..i would get owned by the keyboard mouse users. I just cant play with a keybd mouse..not my cup of tea.

I just want to hear one thing cleared up from Respawn. So what we saw today was from the "campaign mode".

I'm assuming there will be straight up competitive without any store related stuff going on, right?

I dunno. They really want to push the whole "MP and SP together" thing. I do hope they have more straightforward modes and options.
 
Will get this on pc when Origin gets whacky again and gives out free games. Or maybe during a sale, I don't play much MP, so MP only games are a tough sell

I'm hoping they're gonna separate the modes, so if it's you're first time playing the game you can play through the "campaign" mode, with the story bits. But if you just want straight up competition, that mode exists too, stripped of any story stuff.

Go back to 720p graphics and bad textures on the 360, or jump on PC's and try and compete with a controller against kb/m players? No thanks.

XB1 version is the only one I'll consider.
 
It looks cool, there's no doubt about that.

But if years of old Infinity Ward trailers, games, and current CoD stuff as taught me anything, it is that their games never play as nicely as they do in trailers like this. The guy doesn't die once and barely gets hit, I fully expect to be stood on, exploded, or killed by someone flying up behind me every 30 seconds when the game does come out.

Yes, they said in Game Informer that it will have a "traditional" multiplayer mode as well as the campaign multiplayer.

Why is keyboard and mouse such a hard thing to figure out for people? I honestly didn't know that was such a problem.

Aye. Hopefully they have a more soldier focused option, as well as a more Titan focused one. Need me some Titan CTF. :D

They haven't confirmed it, but I believe the SP mode will just be campaign mode with bots only and probably some kind of tutorial.
 
Good lord! Every time I start to convince myself that this will be just another CoD, that I don't enjoy, then I remember the jetpacks/mechs/sci-fi setting and just say, fuck it, I'm in.
 
I will buy an Xbox One when Titanfall comes out, period. For those, "just play it on PC" people, I prefer controller and am not about to be handicapped against keyboard and mouse people.
 
I did not expect to like that. Loved it!! Looked amazing graphics-wise and the gameplay seems really really fun. Will def check it out on the SO's Xbone :)
 
Looks really good imo

Wish the Map looked more different however...it looked rather similar to the first one they showed at E3.

So you really think there aren't people who can only afford a PS4 and are trying to resolve their dissonance by shitting on everything Xbox related? Have you been in, oh, I don't know, any neogaf thread in the past 6 months?

And this has nothing to do with Microsoft's mistakes, which are numerous and well-documented. It's the same console warz bullshit that has existed forever.

Really want to see some crazy D-Day Landing kinda of maps with Titans dropping from the sky and people storming the beach.

Fun probably isn't the right word unless you genuinely derive your fun from pressing buttons and pushing sticks. I personally don't have fun pushing buttons or clicking keys or whatever. Maybe more comfortable, accessible, simpler, etc. But it's all preference.
