New Too Human Pics and Blog Post

This came into work today (PAL release is this week). The game is absolutely awful...full of glitches and it crashed on three different customers after less than an hour of play! Oh and it looks awful, runs at about 6fps, and has the worst character animation of any game this generation.

I really wanted to buy this game but there's no chance of that happening now

wrong thread?

the gameplay space looks flat in every pic they've posted. If this ends up being the case...something tells me it'll be a hack n sash borefest.

Dammit...this is Too Human. I thought it was a thread about Two Worlds:lol ffs I clicked on the wrong thread

My comments were about Two Worlds...that game is an absolute piece of shit. Obviously I haven't played Too Human yet

Lower right corner, just behind the enemy engaged in combat. Clearly one is up close and the two are really far back but still...................
They look to me like your human cohorts, not enemies.

Yes it's viral marketing...you caught me. Well done.

Ignore list +1 junior member - temporarily anyway. Accusing people of viral marketing with no proof is a bannable offence btw.

Really, though? The PAL release of Too Human is this week? Reeeeaaallllyyy? Methinks you're mixing your games up.

i don't think so champ

EDIT: you couldn't tell from the pics that had robots that it wasn't two worlds? :lol

Yes I did (just edited my post)
Ah, OK...Yeah, Two Worlds does look shite...I took it off of my rental queue.

These screens look a lot better than the last batch, but I would like to see some more varied environments. And gameplay videos, si vous plais!

Upon furhter inspection that is true. However, they should at least particpate.
Their legs look like human legs. They might be your AI companions and it seems like they are aiming towards the same enemy you are attacking.

Looks nice and the back story has serious potential. Give me some Diablo 2 type gameplay and loot whoring and I'll be there day one.

Sounds awesome with all the different weapon combos and the ability to imbue "runes" onto items for further enhancements.

Sci-Fi Diablo in 3D.

That's some, er, interesting character design

Spartan with laser cannon meets Lost Odyssey?

there's something i don't like about that description. if the drops are somewhat random and have slots, and you have to track down a limited number of runes to put in them, then i'm gonna wanna save all my runes until i get my epic drops, so i can achieve the most powerful weapon.

maybe all the items aren't actually random and its just when and where they're dropped that's random, but i still think i'd end up saving my runes. i think there'd be some more replay value if the stats were a bit randomized and runes could also be dropped as rare items.

This is GAF. If you haven't played Too Human, it's the game you SHOULD be providing detailed critique on.

Anyway, these screens look good, and I kinda like the comedic possibilities of hilariously mis-matched armour (although as always I'll make sure I look presentable because I'm a damn neat-freak).

Haha I'm the same way.

I was one of the dissapointed ones when I played it at E3 two years, but it looks damn fine and I'm still really looking forward to it

Its looking much better. i think the bottom screen is to display the variety in the armor/character appearance.

Anyhow, until we see it in motion...these mean NOTHING!

Looks better in motion, right?

You'd think so, yes. Some games are the kind of games that are awesome once you take the screenshot, but only so-so in motion. Other games look so-so in screen shots, but freaking EXPLODE in terms of awesomeness once you push START on the controller.

I'm willing to give Too Human a chance (whenever it comes out). After that, we'll see if it was worth the wait, or if we need to tell Dennis to STFU.

In spite of all the controversy Dyack has generated, these screens look really nice. This might turn out to be good after all.

The pic of him shooting the guns with the sword on his back reminds me of Dante from Devil May Cry.

Still looks a bit meh to me, I'm still hoping against hope that it will turn out to be a great game though. Hey, a man can dream right?

So instead of reading about how the loot system works everybody just looked at the screens and decided that the game suck?

That isn't a very intelligent helmet design.

Anyway, art design is still lol worthy but it actually looks good, graphics wise. If it ever comes out with the features Dyack's talking up then it should be awesome.

I think those are actually allies of Baldur, rather than enemies.

At any rate, these screens atucally look decent. Far from anything great, but a bit better than the bland screens released not too long ago.

I still have some hope for this game. It has such a great concept, and a potentially vast/epic storyline...I really hope it turns out well.

i really hate the art direction here. the monster and armor/items all look like they were designed by amateurs.

Yeah looks like off the shelf Unreal 3rd person slasher (not a particularly good looking one at that).
Doesn't seem to have it's own style like NJ, DMC & GOW.

I am not a fan of the color schemes. Feels as if all the enemies have racing stripes on them.

The background artwork gets the job done. Afterall, it's a reflex 3rd person style game, with cybertechnology replacing the Diablo sword & sorcery setting. The gameplay mechanics and character customization are whats paramount to making the game fun.

These screens really convey the kinetic energy of the gameplay imho.

This has multiplayer, right?

Will we be able to customize the physical aspects of our player? Or will we have to use the same Baldur model?

It would be really cool if we could have customization like Mass Effect.

oh man, it seems too human has received the brimstone kiss of death. that's nearly as ominous as...you know...sk's track record and the game's absurd development history

It's four-player coop and it says in the OP your armor changes physically depending on what your wearing.

Brimstoned!

I quite like the idea of lots of different armor customizations.

I think it is time for a reality check.
Here is the game closest to Diablo available on next-gen systems :

Too Human trounces it graphically.

Is the whole game set in this one area?

Actually the stuff to do with the loot drops sounds good, I was doubting any in-depth RPG systems in the game.
