Point is the problems weren't isolated to SK, they wree extremely widespread.

It's obvious Epic fucked up alot of projects, and under delivered, SK just decided to be the dev-house to stand up and bite the bullet.

This and the last vid ctually make me looking forward to this game. Good stuff, I hope the demo will deliver.
 
FUCK Dyack...FINALLY. This is what we've been screaming for all along. Enough with the bullshit 'this is how we make games' vids. That stuff can come after THIS shit. Now this is the type of game I would buy. Visually its looking much better. A lot of my complaints seem to have been fixed to some degree. Their are still issues, but my interest has definitely been raised and the shit stain has been removed. Animation seems to be much smoother, and blows actually seem to carry weight and impact compared to the sticks on metal type of impacts we used to see. Good stuff SK!
 
I'm interested in seeing how the multiplayer will work. I'm guessing that was a super high level character? I'm sure a group of 4 would obviously wipe a room of a 100+ enemies away in mere moments. Hopefully this game will have good replayability in terms of coop and such. Achievements for beating the game on a really difficult mode or something would be nice.

AND NOW I'M ****IN SOLD. You've done it. My heart was pounding as I watched that video, and Too Human just got a major bump-up on my most anticipated games of '08 list. OH SNAP!

The sound effects, the speed, the animations (fantastic but not brilliant, but the action is so fast, it's hard to notice any flaws in the animations), the shaking of the camera -- wow, I am impressed.

Now I still have complaints: now that the focus has been lifted from the animations, it's easy to notice the banality and the barrenness of the environments, as well as the arbitrarily organized rectangular enemy placement. Do they always attack you in square-shaped squadrons?

Whatever -- the game looks great. Another three months or so and I'm sure it'll be ripe as can be for release.

Reminds me of the semester of a java class I took.
 
I don't know what to make of the new gameplay vid; more specifically the sliding. It's not bad, but it's not good either. Maybe it'll just take some getting used to.

I hope there'll be more vids like this for other classes.
 
I knew defending Too Human would pay off!

Great stuff!!!!!!!! Imagine that with 4 player COOP, more enemies and bosses.

No, sorry, the animation is god awful. The running animation is worse-than-madden-stick-up-the-arse style and the attacking animations are just as stiff.

Take off the blinders folks.

I see what you mean about the running, but the rest...no, looks fine.

Blinders? This game has been trashed relentlessly on GAF since we first saw it!

It's not great, but it's at least a little bit better. Or for some reason it appears better. Or something. Not a tall order given the bastard awfulness of earlier footage, but still. It's progressing, damn it! And in the right direction even!

Thank you sp0rsk, it just wouldn't be a too human thread if some one wasn't relentlessly scrutinizing/nitpicking/bashing the game.
 
Since I always believed, it's nice to see the game coming together as I knew it would. Polish and Tuning is really what can make a lot of difference in the final development stages.

Anyway, after what happened with Hellgate, I believe Too Human will do fine in re-creating a Diablo 2 feel.

I think its just based on what people are comparing this game too. I liken this game much more to PSO so the animation isnt what is selling the game to me, its the trees, armor, items and online co-op. If I thought this game was God of War or ninja gaiden then yea I wouldnt be hyped up for it at all. If thats a low level character and hes doing stuff like that I cant wait to see the high level stuff.
 
If the ui is to be taken at face value the character level is 5 and he got about half an experience bar after slaughtering all those baddies.

The problem with the leap/dash is that Baldur is entirely frozen during that period and he is stuck in a position that implies a leap but he doesn't leap in an arc towards the enemy.

People have really lowered their expectations of the combat here. I don't really understand why it being this or that way excuses it for not having wicked awesome visceral combat. It's supposedly based on Norse mythology, savage combat should be expected.
