Thats only for the female cats though, the majority of the other women actually look like animals. Like the skunk thats want to go out with Weekly, the mouse that cleans Blacksad' apartment, the protitute pig in the image I posted or the hundreds of background character Guarnifdo usually draws in nearly every page.
Cat designs get the super model treatment in Blacksad, males included.
This looks surprisingly good! I like how subtle some of the facial expressions are...for instance, you can see the fox trying to hold back laughter at 0:53 when the sloth says "...for you."

Why is it we have all the tech in the world and all these movies look like the last one visually? Can't we get a full movie in the feast short style or the paper airplanes thing or something original? I can't tell a difference between this and a pixar dream works gnomeo and juliet or whatever the fuck is coming out.
Also this humor style is grating as fuck. Reminds me of baymax deflating and putting tape on all the holes. I don't think that slow lame shit is funny at all. Oh its a pressing issue take your time. Same thing in that new adam sandler vampire movie. They all pile on a scooter and it's slow as fuck. Ahhh didn't see that coming at all, hilarious cartoon makers.

The animation styles are different between what you mention but I can definitely see similarities with this and Tangled, Big Hero 6, Frozen, and Wreck It Ralph which isn't surprising as its from the same studio.
Similar reasons why Disney's 2D animation with things like Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and The Lion King look the same.

Just a flustered Disney executive rushing out to a podium during a press conference, hundreds of cameras flashing, a bit like some kind of White House spokesman, delivering a speech to a sea of furry's about how these characters are just friends. They are just involved in a platonic friendship. So could all Zootopia fans stop with all the creepy fan art, thank you?

that was true for a while, until Inside Out. Their last movie, Big Hero 6, was completely mediocre though

Are there really people who thought the first trailer was weak? I've been so excited for this ever since seeing that and this just made me look forward to the film even more! Can't wait to see more of Nick Wilde, I have a feeling I'm really going to like him.

So the bad animation styles being repeated over and over along with the easiest jokes possible are the "fun"? Come on now. There has to be some kind of animated movie coming out that doesn't go the easy route. One that doesn't copy dreamworks for the look and a 4yr olds "I can read" book for jokes/humor. Feast or the paper airplanes movies are so well done in a short that a full movie would be something to rewatch not cringe when my kid wants to go see it like this bullshit. Even my 6yr old daughter says they all look the same.
I'm glad that Disney takes a stance against interspecies relationships.

Def. I just meant the slow gradual movements of the sloth would require manually producing all those hyper-similar between frames in 2D.
These expressions appear right after the sloth turns to his co-worker and it's hilarious. Nick's wide eyes dart back and forth subtly like he's super excited and can't believe he's managed to waste this much time.

The way Judy says "IT'S NIGHT?!" is still funny for reasons I am not entirely sure. Her delivery on it is golden. Judging by the trailer the film's comedic timing will be fantastic.
