New Uncharted screens and movies

I think it's been said before but: Splinter Cell Chaos Theory already did the similar water effects. The wet body look and water effects were mostly found in the first level: The Lighthouse.

Being compared to SC:CT sure isnt a bad thing.

Wet look and water effects alone sure dont define this game's graphics. It is the complete package that makes it so special.

And I love how they iron out all the small problems and add new effect this late and at what seems like a tremendous speed (although it is hard to tell with all these movies from different builds).

Cant wait for this and cant wait for what they'll build with all the expierience they earned from this game.

Well let's see, the game is on sale on Nov 20, which leaves 4 Thursday updates. The game was almost gold like a week ago, so it's probably pretty close at this point.

My guess: November 1 or 8 is the release date for the demo. I'm pushing more for the 8th because Sony might want Ratchet to have a little more time in the spotlight since the "official" release date is still the 30th. Definitely one of those though, because it's not coming before Ratchet, and I'd say it's definitely coming over a week before the game. Can't wait.
 
beautiful water effects...

good job that there's gameplay that's going to draw attention to them as well with the Jetski sequence... because a lot of games with great water effects don't do anything to draw your attention to them.
 
I had my reservations about it when it was first announced but they appear to have delivered everything i could possibly have wanted from the game. For some reason (probably because of the animations) it reminds me of Flashback.

Yeah, I can see that. The game seems to evoke memories of a wide variety of games. The gunplay is definitely Gears-inspired, the platforming seems like pure PoP, the setting, story and characters put me in mind of Broken Sword, there are the obvious similarities with TR and even with all of that it still seems like an evolution of the Jak series.

Mass Effect does nothing to me. I just got nothing with RPGs. So I'll be enjoying my Ratchet and my Uncharted ASAP plx.

A few days ahead to the 20th. Which might be the same day as Uncharted or that might be the 23rd. People will also be flooding GAF with Rock Band membershp drives. Luckily I am looking forward to playing bass. So I will be the Belle Of The Ball.

A good choice, Amy said if she had a choice of people to play Drake she'd pick him (although she said she'd go with the guy voicing and doing the mo-cap for Drake first).

Yup, dunno if it's good or bad though.

I love what he did for the series but people might expect those epic fanfares when the hero does something clever/heroic/phenomenal like in Bond, Indy, Superman, PotC,..

Anyway in the game-play videos the music sounds great and dare I say quite a bit better than MGS3's music which also was top notch.

BTW, did you manage to find the name of the music used in the fan-made trailer for Uncharted?

Definitely not nowadays. But in terms of general attitude. More enamored with the idea of being a badass treasure hunter than his physicality might allow him to be.

Yeah, both scheduled for the 20th. But I figured I'd play Uncharted first since its 12 hours. If I play Mass Effect first, I won't get to Uncharted before Christmas time. If they bump Uncharted up a week, I could beat it before ME releases.
