maybe my eyes are deceiving me, but it seems like the game has more 'weight' to it. It doesn't look as floaty as it did, which is a great thing.

Can't really tell, he only walks around on flat ground in the clips.

I do really hope that the music in Uncharted is more prominent than that we have hear.
The audience will crave for something ala the Indy and Bond themes when Nathan pulls off stunts.

The producer in the GI mag said in the finished product, you should be able to "play the game just by sound alone"... So, soundwise should be covered, in 7.1pcm at that :P ... But, I wonder about the musical score as well... I mean, at times in the trailers it sounds ok, but, it's so damn hard to hear with cam footage from shows, and trailers where people are breaking down/commenting on the game... I'm expecting something great though in the end... The Jak's had some good stuff in them... Not Insomniac level stuff, but close...

Someone said this game has a 20mil budget? Well, hopefully nearly everyone with a PS3 buys this so they can increase that budget for Uncharted 2: Drake's Misfortune...

I'm still going onto say, this game could blow everything else away this year, nothing even close compared to it... So sick of the cookie cutter FPS's anymore, they're really wearing thin on me...

Yeah but the character used to look floaty just when moving around before. Seems better now.

Only thing I'm still not too sure about is the aiming, and the hand-to-hand combat.

Im so with you man this is my most anticipated game by far.

I pray Sony markets the shite out of this game and for once maybe they will utilize their Columbia studio and put a 30 second teaser for Uncharted before the Indiana Jones Trailer.

In all honesty i'm still unable to see what's THAT great about uncharted's graphics.

Ratchet & Clank, now that's impressive.

HDR? Dynamic shadowing? Self-shadowed characters? Drake reacting to gunshots? Great water effects? Huge environments?

After seeing that video it makes Garnett's smirky dismissal of Uncharted's GOTY chances two 1up Yours podcasts back all the more ridiculous sounding.

I hope if there are parts where your just exploring that the music takes a more atmospheric tone much like the original tomb raider.

That's mandatory too. :D

I sure hope so, we need more games in this genre and it's also a neat showcase for the PS3 (me want a big add campaign).

The $20mill part is from an interview with Elena Fischer:

Not to forget really great looking textures, moving foliage, dynamic world shadows...

This game has just about every single visual checkbox checked, and yet it keeps smooth framerate (it seems so far at least).

Yeah Garnett's been acting like a tool lately.

This is still my most anticipated game. I'm really glad they went in a new direction in this one, instead of going back to Jak. I thought one of the environments shown in the GameOne video looked just like they pulled the level straight from Gears of War though. Not sure if thats a bad thing yet, I'll make my opinions when I play it.

Does anyone else think that Assassin's Creed looks better then this game? I know animation wise, it can't come close but other aspects....

Before I saw the gameplay demos of AC, sure, afterwards not a chance.

Oh my freaking god I can't wait for this game. The stuff in the cistern or whatever looked amazing, and the gunplay does look meatier.

Looks like that one guy was right about the older build only having 1/3 of the animations in place.

Why wouldn't he have been?

Devs try not to make a habit of lying about things that can be easily proven false at a later date.

Wait, wait, wait...Drake's character model is only 30K? Looks higher than that! Much, much higher!0_0

Well, cause 30k is pretty damn high as is especially for characters they aren't even in a fighting game. Just take a look at 10+k poly characters and how detailed they can get as is with texturing effects.

I really wanna see the new build @ TGS!
This game has so much potential it's not even funny...
Naughty Dog will deliver w/out a doubt...the only thing I'm worried about is the actual length of the game. Please keep it at least 10+ hours!

I like that this game has a more fluid Gears style cover system combined with the platforming elements and puzzle solving.

Also
WERE THOSE DUDES WITH LAZER GUNS?! OH SHIT

This honestly is the best looking PS3 game to me after GT5 but they need to fix the splash effects while he is swimming... those look atrocious.

The Jak games were among some of the best on PS2, It looks like this will follow.

Yeah. That's the only thing that looked weird to me (the rest is very nice, I just hope the action/shooting sequences aren't too repetitive). They should maybe make the laser fade-out based on how stable the guy aiming is. So it only actually becomes fully visible when he has steadied his aim (otherwise it's not like it's useful to see the thing swinging all over the place, and it looks goofy/glitchy).

Make it happen!:)

... Wow.

I definitely see this as a GOTY candidate now.

I know it sounds silly, but when he pulls out the diary and looks at it in his hand, that's where it just clicked D;

Yeah I love this kind of immersion, plus it's well done.

Amazing. The only thing I don't like is the damage indicator... there probably is some kind of health regeneration too right? :(

The health system is representing Nathan's luck. You can only take one bullet and then you die. When the screen starts fading you know you are pushing your luck and are about to get killed.

Works like a regenrating health system but atleast it fits into the context. Game looks absolutely gorgeous. Cannot wait!

That's what they're using in BiA too, they're calling it Risk though.

What's up with the bloodstains on the camera then though? ;o

is that the first time they've shown Elena(is that her name?) in combat with you? Actually, it's to hard to tell if that was her. But he did have an ally fighting with him at the end.

damage indicator i do not like

it looks good but something is just off. i wasn't into this game but i am starting to warm to it.

will wait to see more befor i decide if i will get all excited about it. lair hurt my feelings :-(
