New World of Final Fantasy screenshots

I'd be much more interested if the characters always looked like in KH, not like the plush toys.

But it's neat that SE is experimenting with different stuff.

From what I've seen you can switch between Chibi and non-Chibi models at will.
 
Unfortunately, this game does nothing for me. Those who find FFXV unappealing will hopefully have this to satisfy their FF crave. But yeah, definitely a pass for me.
 
This looks better every time new screenshots are released...

Damn... I was going not to buy it day one, but now I'm tempted about the pricey edition with the mini figures on the square site... :(

Oh. Well, I can understand that but I don't think this is even trying to be KH serious. It suits the tone.

Maybe if it's a hit they can get a bigger budget for a sequel.

Yeah, I have no idea how EB Games or JB HiFi haven't got the rights to sell that edition in Australia yet.

I put down money on pre-orders usually as soon as the release date is finalised. Would love to give them my money for the Collector's Edition.
 
I've already preordered the game for PS4. I was exited about this game since the reveal(pre VII announce). Glad it getting better and better from reveal to now.

I'm happy SE releasing lots of JRPG this year. SO5, Setsuna and WoFF. Next year looks empty with only FFXII.

Oh forgot about those. DQ might be another game that I want. Nier is 50/50 as I didn't finish the PS3 one, busy fishing and farming and totally forgot about continuing the game. KH3 yeah.. not too into that game. Doesn't click with me. So SE still pumping out JRPG next year, which is great.

Still waiting for SaGa Vita. Is it still coming this year or postponed to next?

Wow the graphic looks real bad on this... (comparing to FF15) Looks like PS2 or 3 graphics to me. Hopefully the gameplay will be as good as FF15.

I swear this is the cutest fucking game I have seen in a long time. I feel like I'll get diabetes from playing it. That Baby Shiva is adorable.
 
I am really looking forward to this game. This is the first final fantasy my wife has been into since mystic quest which was her favorite game as a kid.
 
It's live now on EBgames to the Aussies in here. Problem is it's $250... I had every intention of buying it until i saw the price.
 
Everything about this game looks great, except for the chibi character models. I don't even dislike chibi in general, just this specific style. It's so awful. Hopefully they'll grown on me or the game is just so good that I learn to live with them for... 100 hours.

Edit: The graphics look a bit too much for the VITA. Maybe some kind of downgrade?

Hope that version isn't canceled, want to play it on my VITA :|

They have yet to show it on Vita aside from some off-screen footage, so that's frustrating. I will say, though, that the graphics in World of Final Fantasy aren't "good", per se, they're just dressed up to be gorgeous. The rather simple levels and models glow and stand out thanks to gobstopping YEBIS lighting and depth-of-field effects, and the charming character designs are as endearing on PS4 as they would have been on a PS2 that could have probably ran them. Careful texturing, smooth AF (though these are screenshots, so we do have to be careful with expectations,) and some decorative effects like growing grass and shiny glass add up to a beautiful game on any platform.

If it is stripped of those lighting effects, the Vita version might not impress nearly as much, but we'll have to see what survives. YEBIS engine does work on Vita (it's been used on a few games, but strangely none have been nearly as showy as say 3D.Game Heroes, so we don't know the extent of it on the portable,) but we will have to see to what extent the visual gloss remains.
