New Xbox.com Profiles are Rolling Out NOW

Can you buy more XBox One Gamerpics in the store yet? There's a lot of absolutely great ones that come with the One but I feel like I'm seeing a bunch in this thread that aren't available as stock.

The gamerpics on the XBO put the PS4 ones to shame.
Gamerpics are free on the Xbox One, in fact they're automatically added to the list of gamer pictures if new ones are released. They don't appear on the marketplace.

Got 100K+ gamerscore over you Ricky... I demand you change yours good sir! lol
I'll change my glorious Chameleon when you beat me 1v1 in Halo 3 in November ...

The page looks great but I can't really understand the point of this. Why was this one of the most requested features? I can't see myself ever using this site.

the little green thing next to the gamertag is great to add new friends, i was watching the friends of the XboxGAF account and i can add everyone so fast, it's awesome

Gamerscore at this point is just a number that doesn't mean anything...

Next step for Microsoft is to upgrade the achievements system, to make it meaningful...even Sony's trophies are better.

If MS manages to do this I wouldn't mind buying Xbox One versions of multiplatform games...despite resolution and everything.

They're both pretty meaningless. Achievements were cool when they came out but I'm over it altogether. Keep it for the folks who want it, but I'd prefer if I could turn off achievements altogether. I agree on the numbers part too. Literally millions of people have some arbitrary number between 10,000 and 100,000 and it means what?

Same goes the avatars. Tried to copy the Wii-Mii, pretty useless. Imagine how much fun games would be for a lot of folks if they weren't pressured into doing random grinds in games like "kill 100 people with a pistol" just so they could have an achievement et.

I really do like their default gamer pictures. Just looking through this thread reminded me of that.
Yeah, they are of a decent variety. I wouldn't mind having a couple of them in wallpaper form.

A substantial leap over the 360's original ones (lol dog).

You don't ever see yourself using xbox.com? Making xbox one achievements viewable online is just matching the featureset from last gen. To view your friends achievemtns you had to go on your xbox one. It was irritating.

Anyone else not like that they've removed the visibility of mottos and bio from the new profiles? I know a ton of people didn't even use them but I liked them. There were a lot of times spent in Halo and CoD pre-game lobbies where I'd just browse through people's profiles seeing if they had anything interesting or funny. Actually met a few friends by doing that. :P

The current state of profiles on the Xbox One and PS4 is pretty pathetic. On the Sony side, they still give you only 30 characters to say something about yourself - which is ridiculous - and that's it. On the Microsoft side, as you said, they've cut things majorly down from what they were before.

I often wonder if I'm one of the few people who care about such things, because Sony has done little to change and Microsoft has regressed.

Heh I guess we're the minority. Even if it was just a couple words or a silly quote, it added flavour to people's online identity.

Slightly off-topic question: what's with the reputation only being "Good"? It bothers me that I haven't seen a single person with a full rep meter. Is that a thing?

What's with everyone being a Good Player at the same exact level on the indicator? Hasn't MS activated their overlord reputation monitors yet or what?

Surely some of you have already played crazy amounts of MP games?

Gaffers are always good players :P

But a more serious response:
There's currently noway to give feedback yet, like we could on the 360. So I'm guessing that it just defaults to good player and fills the bar to the same level for each player. I don't remember seeing anyone with a different level on the Xbox One.

You can report people and leave player reviews on the One.

Im 99% certain i've seen some yellow people.

they might as well give everyone a full meter cause majority of the time people will give you a negative rep when they enter your profile to send you a hate message after a match on gears of war

Cool, can we have more game related high res icons now? Personally I think the stock ones on the Xbox One suck and the 360 ones just look silly on Xbox One all tiny and stuff.

Getting in on this. So many people to add

How are trophies meaningful in any way? Gamerscore at least nets you money back when you buy digital games on XBL if you're enrolled in Xbox Rewards.

Yep. Thanks to my Gamerscore I've managed to get some free games and DLC.

Reporting is not the same as leaving feedback, report is only negative. Feedback allows both positive and negative responses.

Been playing since day one and have never seen someone that had a different reputation.

Will this improve the website's performance at all? I often end up typing responses to messages on xbox.com but it's really, really slow to refresh the page. I'd use the Windows 8 games app since that's a little quicker but if I have it open for 20 seconds or more it freezes my laptop.

Just noticed this as well. All the achievements have been update so you can view them on the website.
It's really freakin awesome as you can see the Xbox One achievements as you do on the Xbox One (They changed them from gamerpics/icons
2
to essentially wallpapers).
*Click on the achievements tab > View an Xbox One game > Click on achievement > Copy/Save Image*

So awesome

At least the Miis are still relevant. Kinda.

So is herpes, but that doesn't mean I want it:D

I just think the avatars themselves are fine, and the unlockables clothes idea is good too. I just think there should be something more to them. Tighter integration. I want an avatar that can go in a hamster wheel and give the xbox one more power by churning the clockwork inside the machine faster!

Cool, wonder if they are ever going to do something with Reputations. I haven't seen anyone with anything besides "Good Player" yet.

It looks like that doesn't even work. I know they touted this reputation feature, but everyone has the exact same reputation right now. Look at the profiles posted, all reputations are exactly the same.

Is the reputation feature not really implemented? Maybe its just some placebo? You think you have a reputation so you dont act like a fool online, when really it doesnt matter?

I guess now we can see if anyone cant post a Gamer Profile that has a reputation either better or worse than "Good!"

it only went live at the end of march. there are some people out there with 'needs work'

http://news.xbox.com/2014/03/xbox-one-leveling-up-reputation?linkId=7809229

you gain reputation just by playing without being reported so it is meant to be difficult to get dropped (and there are real penalties for getting dropped)

Sending msgs through the site not work easily? Clicking on send a msg to a friend has no recipient. Have to manually add one to actually send something.

I use Xbox.com quite often, practically every day. My PC is turned on all the time, with Firefox running, my Xbox consoles are not. It's especially useful for redeeming codes.
