Fatalah said:Just curious guys-- how's the firmware update for the older Zunes?
Any new cool features, has the UI changed?
McBacon said:I have a 30GB, and aside from adding a Games Tab and the buy from FM, it seems pretty normal. Whats the new Zune interface like?
scorcho said:the Zune's UI seems a lot slower in scrolling through lists with the new firmware.
Same here. What's this all about?TheGreatDave said:My Zune has been syncing for an hour, stuck on "updating device content". I have no idea what that means, it's already gone through the new songs and added them.
nope, just a mix of autoplaylists and podcasts.Topher said:Are you using channels, scorcho?
Topher said:I think that is what might be slowing Dave and I down. I took at a look at the channels section and it is for some reason, still updating itself.
probably through tags? i get some mp3s into the podcast section by tagging its genre as podcast and importing it into the Zune desktop player.Topher said:Okay so, I only have 1 audiobook in mp3 format, so how will it show up in audiobook form on my zune?
Gotcha, I just checked the Zune site and apparently that's the case. I have tried putting it on my Zune by just tagging it "Audiobook", but it just shows up as a regular genre. Since I keep shuffle on at all times, it would just be too much of a hassle for that.TheGreatDave said:From what I could see, the only way to get an audiobook on the Zune is with a thirdparty app, and I don't know if they work with MP3s.

Guess I'll be subscribing to audible.
why not? works fine ...scorcho said:my biggest gripe - so we can download songs off the marketplace, but can't update our podcasts?
Ugh, seriously? I was really hoping that my wife would be free of having to synch her podcasts to her laptop. Too bad for my wife, luckily my PSP does just that for my podcasts!scorcho said:my biggest gripe - so we can download songs off the marketplace, but can't update our podcasts?
Wait, so you can update your Zune's podcasts from any wifi access point? Stop playing with my heart, GAF!hadareud said:why not? works fine ...

I'll ask again, now that we've got an insider here.hadareud said:for some reason my plays don't update - anyone have an idea why that could be?
Didn't work before either ...

Judderman said:I've come to the decision that I'm buying a Zune 120GB and maybe a 16GB when I want to go running or don't want to carry that much music (I had a 30GB, but the charger port got bent so I can't charge it anymore >_<). I was wondering what is the filetype for songs off the marketplace? I plan on getting a Zune Pass so I just wanted to know.
Any other info I may need would be awesome too![]()
ah ok, thanks for that.broadwayrock said:Everyones plays are not updating. They are working on getting it up and running.
Banzaiaap said:Ugh I hate the fact I can't just buy the Zune pass from the Netherlands. Just release the Zune here alright!! D:
