It really depends on each individual game. A higher profile game like Grand Theft Auto will probably have RDD, whereas a more obscure game will not.

Thanks for answering. Looking into it a bit more, Borderlands 2 has the option available on amazon but for another $10! That's insane. I think I will just handle the wait and buy it for cheaper through newegg.

Also picked up Luigi's Mansion and Paper Mario. Always good to get Nintendo titles for less than MSRP because they go on sale so infrequently. Probably going to put at least one of those away for a Christmas gift to save a clueless relative from having to shop for me.

They must of not had the option then. I went all the way to the end of the checkout and the only option that was applicable was labeled as "1 day shipping" with green text under it: "Get it release day yata yata date and such".

Even if I missed it, it's alright since this is only 2 extra days of wait anyways. I can handle that (free shipping from amazon for example used to take near 6 weeks to get here).

From what I understand now, release date delivery is only included for cheap if you have Prime now. Non-Prime members can still get it by selecting one/two-day delivery.

Ah, I see. I had no idea that this distinction has started to take effect. The last time I ordered using release day delivery was back in May. (never been a Prime member)

Even though, I'm not surprised that Amazon has made this move in an attempt to slash shipping costs.
