When considering all methods—including native ports, compatibility layers, ChromeOS games, Android games, Steam windows compatibility, console emulators, WebGL browser games, cloud gaming and Android integration—Linux has access to over 105000 games.

As a comparison.

The PlayStation 2 (PS2) had the most native games of any PlayStation, boasting an unmatched library of +- 4400 unique titles.

So how many games are available to play on Windows?

And what's the source of this [NEWS]?

Linux gaming is really good overall - only issue I really saw was Space Marine 2 FPS was poor online.

It's just a bit more faffy than windows in regards to HDR, fsr upgrades, modding and bits like that - needing to use environmental variables on a per game basis in steam (although they can be set globally for all games on Heroic which is great).

Can be quite overwhelming with all the distro choices too even though there is fundamentally 3 main "types" of Linux.

Still you have to pray that Proton supports your game properly when it releases.

Not really. It is more about the drivers. If you have an AMD gpu then typically there isn't much issue at all. I have Nvidia so that's more of a problem as the drivers are not as good. Has little to do with proton.

Browser, emulation, cloud and such have nothing to do with Linux.

I've been 100% CachyOS Linux over the last ~6 months now and I haven't ran into a single game that I couldn't play. It's been amazing

If Linux is to compete seriously than somehow this number has to be 100% of all games day one.

I wish I had time to learn and opt for Linux and get rid of Windows/Google.
