#Team26TF.
Yeah, high-end GPUs in late 2020 will reach 20TF+.

13-14TF will be considered mid-range by then.

I see the band of contradictionists are still plowing on with their agenda, arguing with themselves hoping no one remembers what they said.....

0.2V is insane, how do they do that?

Maybe they won't even need an ARM SoC this time around (even if it exists, it won't be manufactured at 7nm)...

Fair point, if the x86 power draw is this low...

Though I'd still like as much moved off the x86 cores as possible. Current console reservation is ~1.5 cores for OS stuff as the ARM SoC is too weak to drive a lot, ideally as much as possible is dedicated to the game apart from necessary OS libraries and listeners etc.

now i only need one of you to convince an admin do de-junior me, so i can start my "Simulating gonzalo"-thread!!

You could raise that in this thread.

Explain why you received it and ask if it can be corrected.

thanks for the link.

can't remeber why i received it. must have happened 10 years ago or so...

got my first succesful gonzalo underclock with power testing :messenger_horns:

Thinking out loud.

Scarlett guesstimate:
  • 72 CUs
  • 3 Shader engines
  • 1 dual CU disabled per shader engine
  • 66 active CUs
  • clocked at 1650
  • 7nm EUV
  • 13.9 TF
Clock maybe too high though.

Thoughts?

Ready to jump ship

How high do you think CPU will go (and memory clocks) ?

Calling it Arcturus with RDNA2 instead.
RDNA is gaming oriented arch
GCN compute
So when we getting a sony event to get any real info
December, Spring
or E3
Pretty cool but it seems to me we already have something similar in Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2 with their “static backgrounds”. I think I’d find it more impressive if the visuals looked like that and it was interactive with the player.
I agree lighting and dynamic environments will make a huge difference but graphics can improve as well.

Im thinking that's right on the money, maybe clocks a bit lower (1550-1600Mhz)
Im theorizing that the way RDNA is built the 2 SEs can be scaled up instead of adding more. We can estimate the SE size increase by using 3 or 4 SEs in the calculations

Pushing the clocks a little more than than PS5's 1550 due to fewer active CUs.

Revised Scarlett:
  • 72 CUs
  • 3 Shader engines
  • 1 dual CU disabled per shader engine
  • 66 active CUs
  • clocked at 1600
  • 7nm EUV
  • 13.5 TF

Need suggestions for poll question, already got the options written
  • Next Gen consoles GPU performance
  • Choose your team(s)
  • Next Gen Power Level

Interesting results but Intel still leading in gaming performance.
The results are quite good for 'console' case. Still beat I agree, but looking at that comparison with a top end, inside a next gen console will be amazing.
The Digital Foundry guy also spoke about how bad some games engine are using multi core CPU like the Dunia engine with prefer single core perfomance than multi core.
So is a miracle the Far Cry 5 run at locked 30 on consoles take into consideration how bad the jaguar are.

The best part is ZEN2 beats intel IPC, so at consoles clocks 3-3.3GHz AMD is the best
I love you

You can pick two options btw

I'll go back to my base form now.
