It means they didnt say Halo 3, they just implied it, so he just gave a lame indirect answer, most likely not relating to Halo 3 at all.

How could it be a delay when surely the game is not coming out this year? It would be dumb to have it out this year. Give some breathing room for other stuff, clearly MS does not want to have Halo as its only supporting pillar for the 360. 2007 ftw!

personally i would be content with a trailer ala mgs4 and a typical "we will release the game when it's done" statement at E3. there is enough AAA content coming to 360 'till next year ( blue dragon !!!!) and it's not like anything can really stop ps3 being successful during its launch window.

I have a feeling MS will in the very least show a trailer for Halo 3 at E3. I mean, last E3 was 360's time to shine, but this time it'll be all about the Rev. and PS3. And Halo 3 is pretty much the only thing in MS's arsenal that can take away some of the steam from Nintendo and Sony.

I took it to mean that it actually won't launch this year. He goes on this tirade about quality right after he says that and he talks about how Halo has to blow people away. I think what he's really saying is that, 'if its the game that everyone is expecting then, yes.....' however, 'we have to go beyond expectations with Halo 3, so no....

Anyway, that's my take on it.
