Next Rainbow Six title to allegedly feature "branching morality system"

This doesn't feel like a leak. It feels like Ubisoft showed Kotaku the game, and told them they could leak it.

Wait, a morality system that makes you replay a level differently warrants the title of "most innovative shooter in years?" Okay.

I guess it's good news for rainbox 6 fans so they'll have something to look forward to.

Oh good, I love morality systems, especially the ones where the game announces in brilliant lights and sirens that you are MAKING AN IMPORTANT CHOICE RIGHT NOW

Thanks to Ubisoft's E3 presenter, I can't help but read 'Tom Clancy' as 'Tom Calancy'.

Just make it a Tactical FPS. Morality system is fine as long as you actually have planning out tactics. If its just re-skinned Vegas, I am not interested.

Hopefully we see more awesome kinect stuff for this innovative and ground breaking morality system that will change the worlddddddddddd

Really don't see how you would put a morality system into a R6 game. Suddenly its not instant game over for mowing down hostages and civilians? They putting in shitty rpg dialogue sequences?

All of these morality choices are shit anyway thanks to Mass Effect. It's so boring; good choice gets good reaction, bad choice gets bad reaction - either way the player is jerked off into feeling awesome.

Are you kidding? This doesn't work in the context of the world or the franchise at all. They take orders and carry them out with precision. There's no room for Bioware decision making.

I hope it includes the option to follow or disregard orders. They'd better not go too far and make any female soldiers follow them, lest it become another Other M.

As long as this is properly implemented into the game and not just a "PRESS A TO STAB BITCH, PRESS X TO NOT STAB BITCH" load of crap, this could be kind of cool.

Who gives a shit about morality in a tactical FPS? Come on now. I couldn't care if Jimmy McPixel here is having a bad day and is thinking of his lovely Pixel wife as he plummets to a shadery pixellated death from a pixel bridge. Just bring back multiple teams and planning, that's what Rainbow Six needs.

Who am I kidding, this'll turn into another generic FPS with a cover system and some stupid gimmicky 'morality'. Bleh.

To be fair, they should let Tom Clancy write the morality system. That man's got a sick, deranged sense of right and wrong, so it'd be pretty funny at least.

...When did the Rainbow Six series lose sight of themselves? Am I wrong to be nostalgic for the planning map stuff?

Why is there a morality system? Unless its something where your end-level score is lower for fucking up somewhere (i.e. friendly fire), then that's one thing, but do they intend to implement a straight-up RPG decision making system?

If it's a situation like, you can choose to breach a room with explosives and maybe lose a few hostages in the process, or breach a room with flashbangs and put yourself in danger from wild enemy fire (and you are graded accordingly), that's the only kind of morality I'd like to see in a Rainbow Six game. Anything deeper and I don't give a fuck, no one cares about the deep emotional roller coaster that your protagonist is riding on.

So I am assuming it will be somewhat the same as how Mass Effect does it. If they do it right then it could be pretty cool.

Can't think of any situation where'd you send in a Rainbow team to talk it out with the tangos.

Or magic colored text which lets you do both.
