I'm that way with all but the third one, and I actually enjoy the references to the games. I get it now that they're there own story, but it doesn't prevent them from borrowing from the games. Granted I wish they had gone end of world in Extinction. Still like Afterlife a lot, Wesker needs to work on his voice work.

4 killed them off lickety split.

3 wasn't bad, easily better than 2, but 1 and 4 were better.

3 had a decent Wesker, too. But 4's knocked it out of the park.

I've always loved 2 a lot (barring the Return of the Jedi part at the end), perhaps because it borrows a lot from RE3 which has (story wise been one of my favorite RE games). I just felt it got so much right (city in panic, the UCBS's, Jarred Harris, etc.).

I think 4's Wesker had the right look, just needed to have a more New England accent.

Keep in mind, it's hard to point the blame at anyone but Paul W.S. Anderson.

He wrote all four movies. He only directed 1 and 4.

Degeneration was much, much worse than any live action RE movie could ever be.
