Atlant's Report Card. I think the last item tells the story.
What about Matt Ryan literally dropping the ball? Isn't that "F" worthy?

I was just watching the ARI/CAR game and near the end of the second quarter Cam is hit as he is throwing, and the pass is intercepted. They called it roughing the passer and nullified the interception. The announcer said something about the quarterback being a defenseless player while throwing. What the hell happened here? What is this rule about?
The "Protect Media Darlings" rule.

Rodgers will never benefit off of such a rule since he is a vengeful genius.

Serious? Is there video of this

Maybe you should go back to the Texans.
Yeah I don't get the idea of giving up on one bad team just to root for another one. If you are going to change teams, you might as well just say fuck it and go full heel turn as a Patriots or Steelers fan. I mean everybody already thinks you are a weak-ass quitter anyway, so what's the difference?

So, they're saying a QB can no longer be hit as he's throwing? If so, that is complete bullshit. And I'm a Lions fan.

RUSH DEFENSE: C — Chicago' Mo Forte was held to 68 yards on 16 carries, but had a long run of 27 yards. Overall, the Bears were held to 88 yards on 27 carries. However, there were several missed tackles in the open field.
I tell ya, if Falcon fans think this is a C effort against the run, with Babineaux out now 3-5 weeks, they'll be praying to see this kind of stop again in that time.

It's the equivalent to an A+++.

Sucks to hear about Urlacher's mother dying. Has there been any word on what happened?

I think the missed tackles dropped them to a C. DT Cory Peters should be back this week.

Only $10K? Should have thrown two. Scumbag Saints players...

I'm shocked it's only $10,000.

Those rabbit punches happen in every pile of every game. He was fined $10k for being an idiot and getting caught.

It's not like he tried to twist the head off of a guy half his size.

They also signed Jamon Meredith, whoever that is.
He was with the Giants in the offseason and was on the practice squad with the team last year if memory recalls. He was a pretty good developmental player but the Giants released him in favor of Stacy Andrews - preferring the veteran experience for a backup tackle.

The only way you will find someone half the size of woodson if he played in a pee wee league.

yeah, heard about it. What a horrible news. Mr. Ulrlacher is an ambassador for the NFL. Which all the best for the family.

He is a role model to surly, petulant dead beat dads everywhere.

He's been a developmental player for years. He was on our team a few years ago. Journeyman at this point. Maybe he'll stick somewhere and gel but I doubt it.

Romo and Michael bush for Fitzpatrick and Ben Tate.

Is this a good trade? I have Arian foster.

You would be giving up Romo? Then no, unless it's some league where you're absolutely desperate for starters. Foster is back in practice and Romo is worth well over what that combo gives you. Trading for Tate is smart but unless Romo is your backup QB I wouldn't make that deal.

Wow, lazy, lazy journalism once again. You'd think when you're trying to 'burn' someone, you do your homework and ensure you are misinterpreting comments/quotes.

If Rome actually SAW the Harbaugh interview he'd have realized that 1) Harbaugh was asked if he'd seen any of the other games, 2) asked if he saw any Niners highlights, and 3) mentioned that his job is to change the perception of the team in the league, so that highlights WILL be shown.

Rome tried to burn him on complaining that no Niners highlights were shown, when in fact Harbaugh was commenting that this is something he wants to change.
You must be new to the media. Espn tends to take things out of context, let alone show the full clip, and run with it until it becomes true.

Rome works for Espn. Espn is nothing but trolls now. It's funny people STILL watch the channel for anything besides live sports.

My qbs right now are Romo, Kolb, and Grossman. We start two, one as a flex.
I'm worried foster will reaggravate (sp?) his injury.

Look at all the packer fans defend their dirty player and then jump on urlacher since his mom died. Stay classy, Wisconsin.

I can't tell if you are being serious (my apologies). But, being serious, plenty of fans from several teams (including the packers) have offered condolences on the various news sites, some of pack-gaf just have images to upkeep, whether or not they have to be candid or not to do so.

So Robert Quinn will be active this week b/c CJ Ayou got hurt, but supposedly isn't really ready to play. The team trots out that he ws inelligible for a bunch of games, but of course then why did they draft him?

Highest pick not active Week 1. The Rams front office has been a train wreck since Vermeil.
Let him play a few games before we call him a bust.

You start two QB? Or two RB? Because if it's QB you never do this deal. If it's RB and you can only start a max of two ever...I still don't do this deal. Maybe get Ward if he pops up on waivers but it's still not enough value. You're trading like a 4th round and a 10th round for a 10th and 12th, basically. You would need something else to make it worth it.

On the cam int I think its the no blows to the head rule. he got hit in the helmet with a hand on the downswing. It was a weak hit. But a rule is a rule

I guess. If he couldnt make our team in our 50 sack season who knows though.
Oh I don't know either. I was half kidding with the comment since I know how badly Pittsburgh has struggled on the offensive line.

Year of the QB:

Passing records set Week 1
» Most quarterbacks with 300-plus yards passing at 14
» Five games with two 300-yard passers
» Touchdowns passes in season-openers with 54
» Combined total passing yards in a game with 906 in the Patriots-Dolphins matchup
» Most 400-yard passers in one week with four (Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Drew Brees and Chad Henne)
» Total passing yards in one week with 7,842 yards

Mama McNabb wants to know how many of those 54 TD passes her son threw.
Oh wait... the answer's just 1?
Awwww....

Alex Smith will still contribute 124 yards.
In a few years, Alex Smith will still be a starting QB? Good for him!
