NFL fans, should the extra point be abolished?

People who want them kicking further back until they aren't automatic are basically asking for games to be won or lost by kicking extra points, and the ability of kickers, more often than they already are. Uh, no thanks?

We already have plenty of games won on last second field goals and the like as it is. Let's make the meat of game about touchdown drives.

They could make the uprights narrower. Or a choice between an automatic one point or a two point conversion attempt.

Or here's a crazy idea, make the person who scored kick it, whoever caught or ran it in has to kick it.

There is figuratively no difference. Literally, there is a difference. Teams are awarded a point for an extra point not deprived of a point for a failed extra point. Literally, the scoreboard does not take points away for failed conversions.
Are you arguing that coaches will perceive a difference due to the cognitive bias known as the framing effect, or are you falling victim to this bias yourself?

They should just save time and employ the XP system from NFL Blitz. You can either take the XP for free or go for 2. The kick itself is meaningless and wastes time.

They should use rugby rules and make them attempt the kick from where ever they score a TD. The further to the sides the further back the kick goes and you kick from that horizontal spot of the score. Up the middle, it's a kick from normal PAT spot. Score on a fade to the sideline? Kick from that sideline spot but 20 yards back.
