Oh, I felt like Niko was the same sort of character as Marsten.

Niko Bellic. I liked the character initially, a lot, then Rockstar writing took over...

I feel like the story topped out when Niko was confronted about the lost cargo in that warehouse. Up until then I loved it if I remember right.

What? He murders all kinds of people for nothing other than cash and he beats the shit out of women. Guy is a complete fucking scumbag. Actually, he is the worst kind of scumbag, the guy who has convinced himself he is doing things for "the right reasons" when in reality he's just lazy and likes murder.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think Marsten ever is really a contract killer. Though it works better in a Western because they can call it a bounty.

what women do you beat the shit out of ? Every mission in RDR involves murdering for money doesn't it?

I don't recall ever having to kill a truly innocent character in either game. Last time I remember a mission like that was in San Andreas where you had to get a camera and I think the mission made you kill a random tourist in the Vegas city. Dumb since you have a camera in your original home.

Really? I thought he spent 20 hours on his cellphone and went bowling with his "cu-zin" every other day.

So wait let me get this straight...you're saying GTAIV WASN'T a bowling/friendship simulator?

He picks up the bosses girlfriend and one point and when she tries to get out of the car slaps the ever loving shit out of her and threatens to kill her.

Casual rape. As opposed to formal rape.

hmmm, I think I meant casual as in the context of the narrative. High Plains Drifter/Pale Rider, the protagonist just does it. No big deal story wise. Pretty sure she even makes dinner for him and a different female a couple of days later.

Yeah, yeah, but he "keeled" people, smuggled people...

She was quite annoying though, and it's not like he beats the shit out of her, just smacks her.

Disclaimer: I don't condone any violence against women, boss's wife or not.

She gets into it by the end of the scene and eventually leaves her husband for him. Dat Eastwoody

That's just mean, man!

The best moment was when you rode your horse into Mexico for the first time and the music started playing. That was pretty cool.

Ha, was just talking about this with a friend the other day when we were thinking about the greatest video game moments. Specifically talking about things that aren't plot reveals but instances where the game actually does something that makes you say "wow".

The only other such moment off the top of my head was playing Skyrim on PC and seeing Whiterun off in the distance for the first time.

Dude loves the game.
I've no doubt that he loves the game. He's just a terrible analyst and commentator. The excuses can be made about folks wanting "layman" terms to explain football but there are guys that do it far far better with less ball washing, more useful information being conveyed and some actual meat aside from "this guys a football player cause he made a tackle!" shit. He's the epitome of dumbed down, everyone is great who's on the field garbage commentating and he's excruciating to listen to.

That's one thing that made Madden so damned great. He would break down a play for you without using too much football lingo but you'd walk away informed about why a running back had the hole to run through that he did. Or why the receiver broke a route a certain way. Folks can shit on Collinsworth all they like for his color stuff, but I think he's one of the best out there at doing that. Pair him with Michaels who's the best color guy in the business and there's a reason SNF is the shit.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts.

Marsden had his moments. I agree about his personality, he would variate from a badass to let me help you on your petty missions. At times I almost wished he was a silent character. The best part about the game was the environment and the characters you would meet along the way.

The ending was one of the better ones by video game standards.

It's just sad that loads of people probably never made it to end because Mexico was really awful.

Does eveyones team have active Twitter posters?

Duane Brown, Arian Foster, Conner Barwin, Brian Cushing, JJ Watt are all active Twiiter guys in Houston.

Is there a quick and easy way to find out without have to search each name into Twitter or whatever the fuck how that shit works

I use a Texans forum, Texanstalk.com, that lists all the active tweets at the bottom of the main page. Matt Schaub is now starting to do it as well but he posts some really uninteresting stuff. For some reason Matt Leinart tweets a lot.

Arian is just gold though. Love it when someone smack talks him and he just blows it off.

There are quite a few Pats players online: McCourty (but he shares it with his brother), Ochocinco (Duuh), Welker was really active before the Super Bowl, Hernandez, the Gronk also was really active but that stopped, then you have Dowling, Mallet, The Lawfirm, Ridley, Cannon, Edelman and the best one ever :

Missed this post earlier, but they better cut that shit from GTA, was so annoying

I love the image in my mind of eznark, controller in hand, raging, "I can't enjoy this game because it's not Pale Rider!!!!"

I liked the game and had a blast playing it, it just wan't a good story. The Witcher 2 felt more like a good western to me than RDR.

I want the Saints Row team to make a Western game but hew it closer to something like Support Your Local Sheriff or Dirty Dingus Magee

You guys keep saying this? Who criticizes Collinsworth besides butthurt players?

As for Gruden, I think his problem is that he too much of an appreciation for the nuances of the game. He has a hard time parsing a standard play from something truly remarkable.

Not sure what you're referring to here? (Collinsworth I take it?)

Plenty in this thread have on various occasions when the subject of commentators have come up. I'm not looking to call anyone out, I'm just saying he has detractors. For reasons I don't understand obviously.;)

Of course there are people that like Joe Buck too. *frightened*

I would agree completely with that. He needs to fit more into the analysis role and less as the color guy. Tirico does very little in the way of analysis and plays the role of Michaels if you will. He's there to push the excitement level when big plays happen. With Jaws gone, Gruden needs to tone it down and get more into the nuances of football. Breaking down plays and informing the viewer without the oversimplification. I could live with the endless praise if there was some real play analysis happening in between it.

I think I agree with you. I have gotten nothing done since Wednesday. This thing is crack. Even the free mini-games, Welcome Park, are fun to play. I really wish I had traded in my 3DS towards this to get some more games.

I hope you at least get paid per vita post. You're getting shameless.

Ross Ventrone's is definitely the best one out of all the Pats' Twitters
