Don't worry. I changed the channel and watched King of the Hill somewhere midpoint during the 3rd quarter. :lol

My point is just that yes, that is what it takes to run the ball. I just love that line and jumped at the chance to use it! So much better than "duh"

I am thinking that if the 49ers get their shit together, they can go on a 5 win run. Michael Johnson impressed me with the offensive game plan. Alex Smith made some mistakes. The defense was very good most of the game.
Their schedule;
At home - Philadelphia without Vick
At home- Oakland
At Carolina
At home-Denver
At home-St Louis

4 games at home. The one road game against a weak team. Could be 5-4 after 9 games.
Alex Smith had good protection most of the game against Atlanta. He made some mental mistakes which can be corrected. It all rests on Alex Smith now.

Defenses, however, have been forcing the 49ers to go down the field in short chunks this season. Defenses are betting that Smith and the 49ers can only go so long without making a critical error.

Smith obliged in Atlanta. The team crossed the 50-yard line three more times in the game, once at the end of the first half, again to begin the third quarter and finally late in the game. Those drives ended with two interceptions by Smith and an intentional grounding penalty against him that moved forced the 49ers to abort a field-goal attempt.

Smith has now thrown seven interceptions on the season against just three touchdowns.

Atlanta has two road games against Cleveland and then Philadelphia. I think we can beat Cleveland but Philadelphia with Vick back in two weeks may be a tougher chore. Then we have the Bengals at home. I think that game will be very close. Two good receivers against our secondary, that scares me.

I haven't picked correctly in the double digits yet this year, something like 9, 7, 9 and 8 this week. And the confidence points are hammering me....basically, I don't have any confidence in these picks. Buffalo losing is just about the only one you can count one.

The bills will win this week. They have a very competent secondary and they will focus everything on shutting down the run. Jack getting -1 right now, and the money's flowing into jac, I'm fading the public on this one. Never bet on shitty teams that are road favorites. Almost always a sucker bet.

Well, the Jags are famous for playing like shit after a big win. So yeah, I might not even be able to count on the Bills losing this week. :lol

Seems like fairly level headed reactions by Lolphins fans.

Vontae > Revis thread :lol

Well Vontae did shut down Moss and the whole right side of the Jets offense two weeks ago. Also shut down the Vikes and the Bills, so I wouldn't be quick to dismiss him. He's definitely the best corner so far this season.

Who did Braylon deke to the ground on that instant TD route versus the Dolphins in week 3?

Rors really needs to devote a good deal of the new topic to the return of the Messiah.

Give the people what they want. Even when they don't know that they want it (they do).

What a (personally) horrible year of football. Not only does Carolina and Buffalo suck, neither team has any real hope for their future.

I mean, when Bill Cowher takes over Carolina next year that might mean in 2-3 years we'll have a shot.

But Buffalo? The best they can hope for is that they're the team that is relocated to LA. They certainly aren't winning any fucking football games.

Denied, Jacksonville called dibs. You'll have to settle for Toronto

we don't need to welcome him back on the bye week do we?
We need to keep him in our thoughts as often as possible. Though with a Raiders fan in charge of the new OP I am not very confident of him being able to pull it off in the classy manner that our Messiah deserves.

Jason Allen slipped on the new sod. Jets fans even watch the games? I know it's been a hard thing to do for so long but don't make shit up.

We'll fix our kick and punt blocking problems. Blocking is Sparano's specialty, that kick off coverage was pretty horrendous, everyone clumped together in the same few lanes. This really does suck we have a bye next, I gotta live with dolphins fans wanting a revolution are already :(. That first half we should have been winning by more but refs fucked us and then the second half began.. Everyone who is talking shit, actually look at the game. This blame goes completely on special teams and that comes down to most teams aren't as coached as well as the Pats and the Fins have a bye to address it. We have a tough schedule but we can compete with anyone this year. Never thought an NFC game would be this big but we have to swing momentum. But yeah as some1 said earlier, the Pats game was almost a must win for us.

Wesker understand more than most fins fans is all I will say to you other Miami fans wanting the coach's and Henne's head. Henning can disappear though I wouldn't mind, even though we've gone through so many OCs the past decade -.-. It's like he only views Ronnie Brown as a wildcat QB.

Henne will start in two weeks I'm sure and he should.

Pats special teams was ridiculous last night. They still have no pass rush and are worse at covering 3rd and 10's then 3rd and short. They are getting no break on this bye week. The D still needs a ton of work.

I'm with you. I've been a Miami fan for a long time, and this is honestly the first team I've been somewhat happy with in quite a few years. This game was horrible, but I don't think it's really representative of the team as a whole. Shit just went off the rails. :lol

I definitely want the wildcat gone though. No way in hell that stuff is needed when you have Marshall and Bess to throw to. Expecting another 8-8ish season, give or take a game. Baby steps, as it were. Also, I still like Henne. I can't fathom anyone wanting Thigpen in there instead.

Don't forget that the offense still looks pretty pathetic at times and Brady seems to have lost his longball along with whatever puny masculinity he ever had (if any).

Worse week yet! 7-7
Overall: 37-25

slipped on the new sod :lol Might be true but excuses like that sound silly.

Vontae > Revis thread :lol

Im saying this as a football fan' thats closer to the truth than you think. They have rarely called Vontaes name on the TV since Week 1..you know what that means for a corner. Nothing is even getting thrown in his direction, Revis is better in that he will make you think you have an opening and then he jumps the route, Vontae is like a brick wall running with the opposing receiver, no where to even fit the ball. Two different styles, two awesome corners.

Fun Fact: This is the first time in 52 games that only one pass was thrown in Moss direction.

I may want Jason Allen playing for some1 in the divison that isn't Miami but he slipped on the sod we put down over the baseball infield that play. I was just pointing out that it was doubly ridiculous to bring up that play.

I know about the new sod, but he was the only one I saw slip and it just happened to lead to a touchdown, just a silly excuse to make is all I'm saying. Not like it was the Pitt/Miami game from a few years ago when ricky got stomped on.

I hate when conditions affect the outcome of the game.

We fucking lost to the Browns last year because some idiot thought it would be a good idea to play at night in Cleveland in the middle of winter. Except it was so fucking cold that no one could throw the ball worth a damn and it came down to running and special teams (the two things the Browns were almost average at giving them a big advantage over the Steelers).

Nah. Offense is fine. Old Tom is back. Taking what the D gives him and they even tried some new thing on offense. Running occasionally.

The kickoff that didn't bounce is forever imprinted in my mind. :lol

And not an excuse just showing it as doubly ridiculous!
