No way, I'm sure that just like Favre has been able to easily click with the receivers he has now, he'll be able to do the same with Moss.
 
Do the Vikings actually have depth on D that they can trade? Their secondary is paper thin, and the only LB that stands out is Greenway who they can't part with.

It's probably for draft picks.

3rd round pick and a conditional in 2012. That is my guess.

The Vikings have good depth at DL and LB, but I doubt they would trade away anyone. It probably is for future draft picks.
 
JAC @ BUF - The Bills will catch someone sleeping one of these weeks....just not this one.
DEN @ BAL - I really don't like the secondary match up here against a hot handed Orton. But I'll take the Ravens at home to win by 2 FG's.
KC @ IND - If this game were at Arrowhead I would totally take The Chiefs and that running game to hold on and pull out a win. It's not, so I won't.
GB @ WAS - The Packers are apparently happy with their current running back situation. I don't see it. I still think they win on Rogers arm, but not by much.
STL @ DET - The Rams are this years surprise team four weeks in. But their defense is more than suspect and susceptible to giving up the big play. Megatron and Hill hook up for a few big plays and give The Lions their first win in 2010'.
CHI @ CAR - CAR is dog shit and refuses to run the ball or throw screen passes to help there rookie QB out. They also don't possess anywhere near the same quality pass rush that the Bears faced on Sunday Night. Cutler bounces back and the Bears roll to 4-1.
TB @ CIN - I'm really split on this game. Cincy looked extremely average on both sides of the ball last week and even though Carson had a huge game, they still lost. I'll take the Bungles at home, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if TB found a way to pull out a win.
ATL @ CLE - There's just no way the Browns win back to back games. Especially against, what looks like a playoff team in Atalanta.
NYG @ HOU - The Giants pounded the Bears on defense Sunday Night, but still only put up 17 pts off 3 turnovers and ten sacks. They'll need more than that to keep up with Schaub and a returning AJ.
NO @ ARI - The Cards should be able to run the ball against 26th ranked Saints run D, but that's only if they try. 12 rushing attempts last week, even in a blowout, is unacceptable. They get blown out again this week.
TEN @ DAL - The Cowboys D is slightly underrated even though they're ranked 8th overall. Coaches are onto CJ and forcing Vince to beat them will be the game plan once again this week. I like Dallas at home by 10.
SD @ OAK - This is the week Ryan Matthews has his coming out party. 150 total yards and 2 TDs. Gates also will probably score because that's kind of his thing......
PHI @ SF - I hope Kolb shits the bed in glorious fashion, but even so--SF has proven that they're at the top of the league when it comes to beds and shitting. They find a way to go down again this week.

MIN @ NYJ - Even with the addition of Holmes, Sanchize just can not keep up his current pace. I think he stumbles at some point in the second half and the Vikes win by 4.



And Al Michaels is clearly the best play by play man calling NFL games right now. But you know who's really underrated as a color guy? Brian Billick. I think he's found his calling because he drops fucking knowledge on people when he's calling games for Fox.

Moss on the Vikings? Sounds like a dumb deal for the Pats.

Even if he doesn't have it like he used to, he's a distraction for secondaries.
Especially considering the Pats' offense hasn't exactly clicked.

But oh well, if they want to throw in the towel this season gopher it. Rebuild mode ftw!

Brett is setting himself up for amazing success or EPIC FAILURE. He will have AP, Shiancoe, Percy Harvin, Randy Moss, and at some point Sidney Rice. Not to mention Berrian, a bit underrated IMHO. Oh did I mention a decent defense? If he can't take that team deep in the playoffs he needs to buy some legwarmers and go home to make Fluffernutter sandwiches... waitaminute ALL OF US HAVE SAID THAT FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS!!!
 
Moss is getting a new deal, is going to have what, so far, looks to be a beat up washed up Favre throw passes to him this season and then next season have Tavaris throwing him balls.

This could turn out pretty hilarious.

Moss going to the Packers is going to make football fun again for Farve. Vikings are missing that deep threat since Rice got hurt and Berrian started sucking balls (fixed) and their passing offense has been shit.

Moss leaving the Patriots fits their plan perfectly of having middling talent all around. They traded away all their talent on defense and now they can have that balanced type of team that Billy Boy loves to have by getting rid of their only deep threat on offense. Now Tommy can go back to dink and dunk and hope for a 2001 miracle again. Only this time with no handycams.
 
I don't really know what to think about the Moss news. Even though production wise, Randy hasn't been beast for a while, he still commands attention. His numbers would be far better if Brady was able to hit him on the deep ball, something he has not been able to do consistently at all since the injury. Between last season and this one, Moss should have at least 10 more touchdowns than he does as there seems to be a situation a game where Moss is past the last defender but can't catch up to Brady's overthrow. Moss is still useful and his departure will hurt us. Even if Moss doesn't even catch another ball for the rest of the year, just having him out wide is more benefit than lining up another scrub receiver out wide. Welker can't do it all alone. I really want to know wtf happened between Moss and Brady over the last couple of seasons. In 2007, Brady and Moss seemed like they never missed, now there seems to be a bad miss at least once a game.

Fuck the Saints should make that trade. I'd give up a 3rd for Moss, even with our stupid depth at WR. Brees to Moss would be disgusting

It would be wasted. You need a big arm to slang it to Moss downfield.

The best place would be Philly. Vick having the option to go to DeSean or Moss would be ridiculous and a nightmare for secondaries. Then again you also need to be able to block to give the qb time to get it downfield and the Eagles offensive lines sucks balls.

No it wouldnt be a waste, you're crazy. Brees may not have THE biggest arm in the league, but he's still pretty rad at getting the ball down the field on bombs to Devery. I want Moss for 30 yards out from the endzone. Brees would shred.

Yeah I had the similar thought...what if Brees or Manning had Moss (and they could somehow keep him happy) then it would be absolutely ridiculous. I have a feeling they spread the ball around too much to keep him from pouting.

Not to mention I don't ever remember the Colts ever trading for a big name player...have they ever done it?

Not the biggest? I wouldn't say Brees' arm is even that strong (he is not Chad Pennington who can't get it more than 15 yards down the field, but I just don't see Brees throwing that many bombs). That doesn't take anything away from the guy, his biggest strength is his accuracy (which matters a lot more than strength), but I really don't think it is a great fit.

Then again I said the same thing about Brady and I was a little off in that prediction (though that seems to have been an aberration as Brady can't seem to get the ball to Moss anymore).
