NFL Week 9 2010|OT| - Did we step into a time warp?

I dont know what to think of that half. On one hand the defense came up on tough situations, our offense is moving the ball with a great first drive but stupid mistakes. Henne isn't helping, wide open Fasano that he could not hit and yet he drives us down the field well.

Its the same damn story again, close game, FGs very important and whoever makes the least mistakes will probably win. Thats fine but I would like to take control of one game.

It's been said many times before, but Derek Anderson fuckin sucks.

Edit: As soon as I post that, he makes a couple of good throws. :lol

This post should be on Anderson's tombstone. It describes him perfectly.

P.S. BROOOOOWWWNNS!!! :D

I just saw they took away a TD for Foster on my Fantasy team. What the hell happened?
Foster caught a touchdown but let go of the ball before he made it to the post-game press conference

That seemed like a legit call to me. Maybe that's just because I'm rooting for San Diego, though.
I'm rooting against San Diego and it was a legit call. People need to get over it. It's not a new rule. Teach your players how to catch the fucking ball. Foster should have just gone down instead of trying to stay up.

I don't know what else he can do. He took two full steps with complete control of the ball and then extended his arm to make sure he broke the plane. How is that not a catch? This one was more of a catch than the Megatron catch earlier in the season. Complete bullshit and I don't even like the Texans.

He didn't need to extend his arm to break the plane. And what he needs to do is go down or keep control on your way to the ground instead of trying to break your fall with the football like he and Johnson did.

Hold on to the ball. A catch is not just "I held the ball for a second." It's "I have the ball in a secure hold and it's not coming out until I decide to put it down."

If that isn't a touchdown then plays when players who sit the ball on the ground immediately after running into the end zone aren't touchdowns either

It was a clear catch in the end zone. Atrocious interpretation of the old rule.

If it happened anywhere else on the field that would have been ruled a catch and a fumble. He had complete control and took two full steps which qualifies as a football move and therefor a catch. You'll see you're wrong when they fix this rule at the end of the season.

"Gostkowski is considered questionable to return. Former soccer player Wes Welker is kicking balls into the net in case he's needed in an emergency."

No it wasn't. He had it outside of the endzone and stumbled and fell in, dropping it in the process. Even in real life, if I was playing with some buddies, and someone just accidentally dropped the ball, that would be a drop. That's not a catch.

Those other players are not on the way to the ground and needing to keep possession. They've already established it.

Agree to disagree....and moving on. We've all already done this too many times this year.

Fucking THIS. If you catch the ball and you are in the endzone it is a touchdown.

catch + fumble =! incomplete pass

The Foster TD was a legit call. It took away Megatron's game winning TD in week 1. It's the rule and was called right. However, the rule needs to be changed this off season, both of those plays should be TD's, they had possession when they crossed the plane, thats all that matters.

football move isn't actually a rule.

What game are you watching? It's a 'legit' call because like was said it's a shitty interpretation of the rule, but he caught that in the endzone.

Really, I like him but that guy single handedly lost us this game. My goodness.
