Stay classy, Boston fans. Remember, we're the ones who lack class.

I was speaking solely upon the entertainment value of things, lol. You know something off-the-wall is going to happen tonight... It's been written.... Maybe just line up the Green Men for the fun. They seem like pretty level headed guys...

Good game is what I want. A good game indeed...

The couch, Sully's Tap or head over to Beverly? Can't make a decision. Fuck!!
On the couch I can click the channel if Vancouver is up big. Do not want to see Burrows or Lapierre smiling.

It's tough, I'm debating going into Boston but my town is showing the game on a big screen at the soccer field. It'll be easier to stumble home drunk from the soccer field :)

Gaahhh, watching more SCF TV coverage on the ferry than I've seen in the past week. They're basically doing summaries of everything at this point. Really highlights what a circus it's been and how they've made stories from nothing to generate as much interest as possible.

Yeah I put myself on a blackout from TV coverage after game 6. Watched some this morning. It just makes my chest feel tight. I just want the talk to end and one team to lift the cup.

4pm, another hour till i get off work.. gym 5-6pm, then OMGZ game time.

Gentlemen, game 7, stanley cup finals -- totally different beast than any other game in any series.

MY BODY IS READY.

Eh. As long as he doesn't ask for too much. My bet is he goes with the Pens. He'll get to play with his old team and with Crosby and Malkin. Seems too attractive from his standpoint.

Don't say that!! Jagr in a Wings jersey would be great. :D I believe we have the money as well. And what the heck, we are the NHL retirement home.

Getting off work in an hour so I can watch the whole game start to finish (something I've only been able to do once before in this series).

LET'S GO BRUINS!

Speaking of the Wings (courtesy of everyone's favorite Eklund):

Under-the-radar UFA getting tons of attention...

Every UFA period we get a guy from Europe who later becomes known as one of the best signings of the summer..This summer's impact player is Janne Lahti.

There is a June 15th European signing deadline looming, but I am told last year's Finnish League leading goal-scorer Janne Lahti is currently weighing out multiple offers from NHL clubs.

Frontrunners are NJ (e3) and Detroit (e3).

Lahti scored 37 goals this past season for Jokerit, topping the SM-Liiga. With 59 points, he ranked third overall in scoring to former Dallas Stars forward Perttu Lindgren (66 points) and veteran former NHLer Ville Peltonen (55 points). The soon-to-be 29-year-old Lahti may be this year's sleeper free agent depending upon where he goes and who he gets to play with on his line.

He took a shot at North American hockey three years ago, struggling in 65 AHL games with the Hamilton Bulldogs (9 goals, 18 points). But now he is older and more experienced. Lahti was a member of Finland's gold-medal winning team at the 2011 World Championships.

I expect we will all hear more regarding who wins the Lahti sweeps very soon...not many potential big goal scorers are available.

"37 goals in a Finnish league, comprised of strong defensive systems and teams is equal to at least 30-40 in the NHL." One scout noted.

They just read my Instant Feedback on 98.5 about the game not being shown at the Garden and how it's a shame when Vancouver and Dallas can do it but Boston can't.
Seriously what an embarrassment. They got the rights from NBC and all but "Couldn't pull it off in time."
Sad.

I hear ya man, I do. My boss is gonna kill me if he gets a complaint... LOL. Damn game 7's, being a NE sports fan in NE has definately spoiled me over the past 10 or so years...!

WEEI was talking abotu that too, so sad, they could have packed the garden for $10 a head and Jacobs could have made tons from the beer tab alone.

I feel you...looking forward to some beers here in a few minutes and walking down to the local pub and getting drunk. Found a bartender who's Irish and a Bruins fan here in Charlotte. Hard to come by!

Isn't a surprise considering some of the other complete incompetence that happens in that city. So weird they can get the 4th of July right so MUCH. I mean why didn't they plan this before Game 6? If the Bruins would have lost oh well, but seriously, how silly can these people be?

Manino is an idiot.

"When Varitek put it through the uprights."

...and they could have donated the proceeds to charity too. Shame, mumbles Marino...shame

edit: Mass pike is already packed and there are crowds forming in the north end. Boss just left, I'm outta here!

Fuck Menino. "Safety concerns" my ass. If Game 7 was here, what would they have done? Moved it to the Civic Center?

Also, fellow Boston sports fans: while it is not viewable from North America, there is a lunar eclipse tonight. Do you remember what happened the last time there was a lunar eclipse during a championship game?

It just means we're overdue for a win on a lunar eclipse.

So anyone else barely get any sleep? I was so wide awake I went through my old hockey card collection at 2am. Picked out all the Bruin and Canuck cards I had. Almost had a complete roster on both sides too, if it was 1991.
It took me a while to fall asleep, slept terribly too. Dreamed I missed the Cup Finals because my toilet was flooding. I'll be glad when it's over today, too much time hogging the air in my sleep!

From reading the article it seems the high ticket prices absolutely killed the Leafs in those ESPN standings. "Bang for your buck" is not going to be high when you charge the highest among all NHL teams for nothing but nearly-shit performances in almost a decade.

Tampa Bay Lightning named 2nd best professional sports franchise in North America, according to ESPN the Magazine.

Worst NHL team on the list? Toronto (120th out of 122 teams).
I approve of these rankings.

I have nothing but respect for the Lightning after their playoff run this year. (Well, maybe not Gagne...) ;)
Sorry about trying to sway support over to Boston by harping on that "team that's held the Cup most since the year 2000" stat.

I'm not a fan of the team but I know that a lunar eclipse also took place on the date the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years.

I am in a state of blissful contentment right now. Slept like a babe last night, dreamt about success at work (which I never do), my acid reflux from the past two days has gone away and I'm just totally destressed. I have never felt less anxious before one of my teams has played a big game before... complete opposite feeling from Game 7s vs. Montreal and Tampa Bay.

3 hours. I should've made it a gym evening to pass the time quicker, but will go home and relax and ease my heart for a crazy night.

I am glad people are are having messed up days due to the stress of waiting for this series to finally come to some sort of fruition. I have butterflies in belly and I am shitting blood.

this could have been avoided if luongo didn't take game 6 off

shitting blood eh? u will go on a massacre after luongo fucks it up, back up comes in but canucks lose 2-1

Go Canucks I guess! Not a fan of Vancouver , but I really don't wan't to see Marchand and Lucic's names on the cup (not that I'm too thrilled about Higgins and Lapierre's names on the cup either).

This is the first comforting thing I've heard all day.

Blake Wheeler with some words of wisdom:
They should play this game at a neutral site tonight. This whole home ice advantage is getting out of hand
I don't get why they don't do this. Classless move by the league.

No-stake-in-the-game fans think that there will be hilarity tonight.
There will only be hilarity if the Canucks lose and the mega meltdown of their fans. Bruins fans on the whole are fairly meek and will just roll over and give an old "the better team won" loser speech. So in short, Canucks lose = hilarity, Bruins lose = meek acceptance.

Add in Canucks losing means that Tabris jumps out of his apartment and this could turn out to be a wonderful day.

Although I have been cheering on the Canucks this whole series, normally I like to cheer for the team that beats Montreal, figuring if the Habs lost, at least the lost to the Stanley Cup champs....

I just can't back the Bruins though. Too many players I dislike just enough, and 90% of the Boston fans I know are obnoxious while most of the Vancouver fans are slightly more tolerable.

So long story short....Go Habs! I mean Nucks!!
