Nono I accepted it, it was between Phoenix and... Ottawa, I think? So Cakeboss and Random. Don't recall the details just now, but it had Lucic and Callahan in it.

what? It didn't? oooh maybe someone (Swance?) made too many trades and accidentally put themselves over the player limit. I had no way of seeing that, nor a way of knowing if that happened. But it's happened before.
I was not involved in that trade.

Mmhmmm. I didn't decline any of the trades (apart from Crazed's)... I know the Ottawa/Phoenix traded DID have different numbers of players on both sides. Check your contracts, Random/Cakeboss? Honestly can't think of another reason why it was declined. Cap seemed fine, and I think both of you only did this one trade too... Weird.

I'm just surprised the system itself didn't decline the trade before giving it to me. I thought this problem only came up where someone does 2 trades, both of which individually are fine, but together there is an issue. I thought if the trade itself was bad, the system wouldn't even let you do it. Guess I was wrong...
And if I knew players couldn't retire mid-season that would've been my bet (for Soc), but they only retire at the end, so I'm clueless there. Waivers are off indeed, and I sure didn't turn them back on. Also, there'd be a message if that was what happened.

So now I'm definitely sure it's related to the trades I've done. Must be some kind of glitch when the AI is moving players around.

Now I'm wondering if that's happened to others/me before too, and we/I just never noticed lol...
No, you'd notice. These are roster players, not just scrubs or prospects tucked away in the AHL.

I think I'm going to bow out guys, I just don't check up on it that much anymore here and my overall interest has has dropped over the last few seasons. So you can remove me for now, don't know if I will be back or not but I guess never say never. Fun times and one SC so I'm happy with that, EA still has some problems they really need to work out and fix the stupid drafting system but other than that I had fun for the time being.

No actually, I wouldn't even consider I did any gm'ing this season either seeing as how I only looked at my team maybe 3 or 4 times. I have a few things coming up the next few days (along with losing interest, etc...) so I figured I might as well head out now since even if they did make the playoffs (which I think is still a possibility), I don't know if I would be checking them or not.

Eh, oh well, I have noticed some differences with the lines and it does have an effect, just not to the point I think most of us would like. Still fun playing with you guys, hoping NHL 14 does fix some problems though, but we will probably have to wait until NHL 15 for that knowing EA.
