Good point, if the refs didn't blow the whistle it must have been legit. They never miss anything, like just a few minutes ago when the Avs didn't have 6 skaters on the ice for a solid 5 seconds. Couldn't have happened or else there'd have been a penalty.

My point is if they called O'Brien for that they would've had to call the cross check. No point in doing so.

Lol, not for Tabris-crazy but for more legit reasons. You're one of my fav fans in the thread, simply because you have insanely high standards for your team. and you should. It's a testament to how utterly elite the Wings organization has been for over a decade now that your demanding attitude about one of the best teams in hockey is just as rational as me being pleased as shit when the Jets score a single PP goal in a game or win 3 in a row.
Sure it sounds incongrous or even a bit annoying to fans of not-so-good teams like me when you flip out over your team being in the middle of an epic win streak but playing just slightly off for a half a period, but really the more i thought about it the more sense it made.

But besides that, he did this after our guys stopped playing his system because they're fed up with him. Not really sure how a bag skate is supposed to get the players back on your side. Need him gone ffs. If he's around next season I really don't know what I'm gonna end up doing. Maybe I'll take a year off giving a shit/watching.

Blue line to blue line sprints. But yeah, back when Mueller came back the first time this season after his concussion this is what kept him out for even longer.

Ah, ok that's almost suicides but not as bad. Suicides are usually longer. You go goal to blue, goal to opposite blue, goal to goal, etc.

Hmm...was looking at the standings to see if it warranted it. The Avs aren't TOTALLY out of it yet, but things are looking grim.
I'm also not surprised to see Edmonton as the 29th team overall. Might as well just tank harder and get the 1st overall again and maybe start another dynasty.
Pittsburgh was hella lucky to have the players available at the time they had those picks too.

If we make the playoffs it will be due to the failure of the teams around us and not by our own merit. I just want to see Lando get the Calder and this will be an ok season. Really love his game.

He seems to be hands down the best player on the team as of late.
This is one of the biggest issues in the game today, every time there's a big, clean hit, players feel they have to fight right away. It's so stupid.
It wasn't even a fight, he basically just jumped him to the ground, and when the refs came in and got on top of them, Kane starts feeding him in the stomach, with Obrien being tied up by the refs and nothing he could do about it while Kane throws them away.

Some people are just scumbags. It was like the blue's player today who fought and after they were on the ice and there other guy was tied up with the ref he started punching him in the back of the head.
You forgot to mention how he dragged Scott to the ice from behind before the fight too.

Ovechkin looked out of reach at this point during the 09-10 season, but in the last 20 games, Ovechkin scored around 20 points and Henrik Sedin scored around 32 points (doing a quick sum on their game logs). So that could happen again. We'll see how it goes with Malkin and Giroux.
Looked like an All-Star game... Flames mades almost zero contact.

Oh god I remember this, thanks for digging it up. There is so much awesomeness in this, I can't even find words. Absolutely perfect passes in that game, both from Henrik and Raymond, oh my. So awesome to look at. And of course the goal of the year/even longer. That was... jaw-hitting-ground-really-really-hard. And most importantly: Poor Rypien.
EDIT: friggin' goosebumps watching that 3rd goal of the Hattrick. So. good. oh god, the memories.
Read that yesterday. Cant imagine how bad that must hurt. I really dislike him but thats neither here nor there...
