Where from? If you don't mind me asking.

Also, to save follow up questions, what languages did you learn first and in what order? I'll assume two languages as a child more or less at the same time...

Yes we're nosy. :D I'm just always interested in people who emigrate, partially because my wife is American and I often wonder what prompts people to leave home and move someone else.

Haha don't worry, not nosy ;)

I'm Swiss, born and raised, went to Canada to improve my English when I was 19 (after I'd finished High School), decided I liked it and wanted to stay, now I'm studying at university here in Vancouver. Paying International Student fees -cringes-

Languages are:

1. Swiss (since Birth)
2. German (since Grade 1)
3. French (since Grade 5)
4. English (since Grade 8)

Swiss isn't an official language, but it's about as different as Mandarin and Cantonese, if that helps anyone. It's a really really strong accent/dialect of standard German, to the point where we pronounce nearly every word differently, have different time tenses, sometimes different words&grammar, etc. But because it is ONLY a spoken language, not a written language, Standard German is used in anything official, such as work-emails, government, school, which is why we have to know German as well, since pretty much Grade 1, and know it on a native level as well. But Germans won't understand Swiss, for the most part. And then French because it's a national language, and English we have to learn... because it's internationally useful, despite not being one of our national languages.

now EVERYONE BACK TO HOCKEY SHALL WE. :P For more questions just PM, I'll be more than happy to answer.

Well go ahead and read some of this English: You picked the wrong team, mother fucker.

Now we are enemies 'til the grave.

Cool, thanks for answering. I was going to guess Mandarin/Cantonese/?? or something off the board like Urdu/Pashto/Arabic. And yes, back to the hockey.

Nice.

Multilingual-GAF represent! I speak a paltry two languages. :lol

Is it just me, or did Tkachuk just say "fuck it" and went all out on a buffet on his retirement day? Dude gained some pounds, not that there's anything wrong with that.

A Canadian team that's in the Eastern Conference.

Or the Red Wings of course.

The team that we beat 6-2 & 5-3 this season, the team we beat 4-1 & 2-1, or the team we beat 4-3 this season? my money is on 6-2&5-3.

Dude... Nobody follows Vancouver's history that closely except for Tabris (and apparently you), so you're definitely not speaking English right now. Try one of the other 3 languages.

I had to look it up, and was actually surprised to see we haven't lost against any of those 3 teams this season. Made the writing of the post oh so sweet.

God the third seed is going to be just shameful for whichever team staggers into it. Third will likely play Pens or Flers or someone else who will certainly be favoured over the southeast 'winner'. What a shit division, can't wait for realignment, even though Jets will be crushed in the Central short term.

The Three Canadian teams? Did you forget about the Red Wings?

See, I was talking about you picking a team other than one that's in the Western Conference along with the Red Wings. It was all a joke and welcome to the NHL GAF type deal...

Come on, buddy. Reread and let's be BFF.

Sure. Suuuuuuure.

One is supposed to be confused in here, right? No one is actually sane and everyone's just really confused? right? right guys? guys?

Kinda excited, next week I go to Chicago and see the Leafs play there. I just hope they don't grab their ankles that night.

I have to say, I've been for letting JVR go in a trade, but in the past 2 games hes shown that he can be an allstar power forward. There were shifts where he looked amazing.

Yet theres rumors always flying about him. Him and bob for bernier is one of them. I'm just flustered with our goalies right now that I'd make any move anymore.

I could be late in the discussion, but apparently, Burke's now going to take a look at the goalie market to see what's available (Pierre LeBrun on Twitter). That probably means nothing is going to happen.

No thank you on that one.... I like JVR a lot actually. Even if he never improved he is still a solid player. I'd prefer to keep him. It's really hard to evaluate forwards on the Flyers because so many offensively talented players are getting less time than they would on almost any other team. JVR really seems to have been harmed by this the most over the years. I'm concerned about Couturier for exactly that reason, though he is younger now than JVR was when he came up so there's probably more time.

I just want to give Bryz + First for some pucks or something to a team with some space.

Bryzgalov is looking like the worst FA signing in recent memory and I thought Huet was a bad signing. Bryzgalov seems to have gone off the deep end.

He either bounces back next season or Flyers get an amnesty buyout next CBA, I can't imagine this ending any other way.

Cal O'Reilly put on waivers and Crosby is practicing with the team now. My mind tells me not to get hopeful but my penis is erect anyway.

I haven't posted here in a while.

But I'd like to callout a few leaf fans' in here back when I said, our goalies' suck.

I just want to ask all leaf fans', what do we do? Do we ride both of our goalies' till the end of the season? One of em'?

I mean, Reimer has been flatout garbage, no question since he came back. I would say at this point, Gustavsson is the better option and I say, give him the opportunity to start every game. What do we have to lose?

We do have 2 backup goalies. Trade Reimer or Gustavsson?

There's just so many things wrong with this team at the moment. We have MANY useless players.

And it's so bad that leaf fans' have just come to accept mediocrity instead of a team that's competitive or loves winning; for example: Vancouver, Detroit, Philadelphia.

And that's every single one of them in this damn thread except for me.

How can leaf fans accept this mediocrity season after season? I just want RW gone. Guy is a piece of shit. I'm so freaking mad, it's unbelieveable.
