If Pat Quinn could pull it off at the height of Dead Puck hockey, I don't see why that can't work today. The problem with the Leafs are the PK (no comment necessary), defensive positioning (I'm covering who where?), ice time management (I can handle 2:30 shifts, I'm Dion Fucking Phaneuf), and not enough people who can finish offensively (Open net? Pass!). Not surprisingly, these have been issues for four years now.

Which fans are these? Gaf-wise, we've been clamouring for a) a coaching change for the past 2 years and b) roster improvements since Christmas. I've not heard a single Leafs fan talk about tanking for a pick.
