Hey, you had asked or commented I should say.
Yes. Was just mocking you.

If everything since has been a joke, then great.

he did say "the year after".
True. That would have been a better defense (still ridiculous - as if Weber would sign another 1-year contract), but apparently it was all a hilarious ruse.

Some doublespeak going on here.

Wait, so you went back to the offseason thread to find posts where I talked about Weber? Uh... ok then I guess, considering time changes and so do opinions. Of course I did mention this gem in there:

but I have a feeling Weber will get an extension or more than a 2 year deal, and if he doesn't want to resign, his rights will be traded to some team unfortunately.

Which falls in line with what I just said:

I think the recent success they have will make him sign for a longer term deal with them. If not this year, but the year after when he becomes a UFA.

I would love Weber on Detroit, almost any Detroit fan would say the same thing, but the payment to obtain his RFA rights would be ridiculous. Which once again, I mentioned that exact same thing in the second post of mine you linked. Seriously, I fail to see what you are trying to prove here. Yes I would love Weber on Detroit, I highly doubt it will happen unless he hits the UFA market.

Also come on man, is your life that boring that you have to really over-analyze even the smallest of forum posts? Heck you even have me typing up a book right now so troll successful if that is what you were trying to do.

Edit: Also if this is all a joke, haha shame on me, etc....

Not a troll. It's been a back and forth that hasn't really made sense to me. You play one post off as a jest, but then defend it when equipped with an argument by someone else.

Anyway, so long as we agree that Weber couldn't be a Wing for years yet.

Three posts. Three replies. You're the one defending a guy who was saying the opposite, thought I'd point that out. No need for passive aggressiveness.

i'm not defending anything. you've definitely cracked the case here, though. an absolutely scathing analysis on his posting habits. truly an asset to the community.

Ugh, no I was saying I would love for him to be on Detroit no questions about that, but as I had stated in a few posts, I have a feeling he will sign more than a 2 year deal. I also said with consistency that he would cost way too much for Detroit to hand over for an RFA signing (that is "if" Nashville would even consider trading to Detroit). Next I said that if he were to hit the UFA market by only signing a one year deal again (or "the year after" as I said), Detroit would be high in the running for him.

The joke earlier (which is what you seem to be viewing this all off of) was more along the lines of the typical "Weber and Suter to where ever" joke we like to make just to pull Sef's chain. Not necessarily saying that they would never sign with Detroit if they became UFA's. Geez I can't believe I'm trying to defend myself on something so miniscule and stupid.

Is Crazed yours to protect? What have I missed? Was trying to understand his posts, not perform a service. Take it easy.

Yeah, I get that now. Fair enough. I just didn't catch your revelation between your sincere thoughts that Weber could be a Wing soon (last summer) and the taunting of sef (the last 5 months).

stop talking about my defensemen.
Always good times.

If Nashville manages to resign both Weber and Suter long-term, the ensuing Fuck You All post from sef should be worth it.

Gauthier is slowly getting back into a good position, and giving this team a better future to deal with and more cash flow. He still fucked us over with the Kaberle deal, but at least he's getting back on track.

He's older by a couple months.....for someone who likes to spend all their time scouting every detail on every other team you should know better.

Older is still older and signed to a much longer term, which will make him much older than Cam would have been. Even if you like Bourque, it was still a very shortsighted trade. I can only imagine would they would have gotten had they dealt him now rather than then. Seeing what Gill got, a desperate team might have coughed up a first rounder.

No way, especially with how awful he was playing. Doesn't matter now anyways, I'm just commenting on how Gauthier is moving the right direction, silver lining and all that shit.

Mhmmm which game is the most interesting to watch tonight, any input? Not sure which stream I should put on... atm favouring Nashville-Detroit, what with the Detroit-Canucks duel and their record streak.

This is the best the habs PP has looked all year, Subban just needs to learn to hit the net again.
