So.... he was hoping to generate stable income from.......... literally just tweets?
As far as I remember he never leaked anything/did anything original. He would just react to shit or say "oh yeah I heard that too" after the fact.

Yeah I don't get it either. Having on notifications for VGC and Eurogamer and quickly reposting their content doesn't seem like a career to me.

Wario does the same thing but also posts a ton of deals with affiliate links, must actually be pretty lucrative.
 
It was weird he thought people would support him when news is free and he provided no editorial insights. It would be like signing up for Only Fans and only posting pics of yourself clothed wearing the same shit you would on a normal day.
 
The combo of Wario64 and Nibel is all you need on Twitter, shame Nibel is leaving. Sounds like he tried to branch out into other things and it just didn't work and he's tired of trying. I'm sure Musk owning it doesn't help, but reading that text that isn't the ONLY reason. I can understand getting burnt out.

He wasn't able to generate a decent income from Patreon, which means his work does not provide much value to a sizeable amount of people. It's simple economics.

Imagine if every business owner wrote a message like that when their company goes out of business. Only the best survive in the game long enough to reap benefits, no matter the market (in this case, video game news).
 
I used to follow him on twitter a couple years ago. I ended up unfollowing or muted him, one of the two. Nothing special from that dude.
 
Leaving Twitter is healthy no matter who's in charge tbh.

I'm trying to leave all social media. Facebook is done. Twitter i only follow 30 people now. Instagram is next i'll leave as well.

I'm so done with social media overall.
 
Man, he is going to be seriosuly missed. I used him a lot for news.

Also, he made a really good decision on leaving twitter

This is disappointing because he had a solid account.

I think a lot of people want to work in the video game industry because they think it will be fun but they don't realize their isn't much money in it unless your a big influencer with a following or work as a dev/ higher up at one of the studios.

Why would someone pay you to report basic gaming news when there are so many other outlets that do that for free, especially on Twitter.

He could have monetized it.

But yeah, just like all karma whores on twitter, he did it for free for years and didnt get a single dim out of it.
 
I'm not familiar with this person but I can't blame them for leaving Twitter. I always thought it was the lowest form of human discourse and now that it will serve as a megaphone for a billionaire's ego, many will follow suit.
 
I hope these people know there is a world outside of Twitter and that it's okay. lol Jesus what a bunch of whiners. Biggest Twitter haters are on fucking Twitter, seems ass backwards if you ask me.
