A few things I learned while discussing Musk on the internet recently:
1. If you merely want to criticize him or any of his decisions don't expect a rational discussion from many. Fanboys are going to meltdown, snowflake out, and post the same three memes they've been regurgitating since 2014 at you over and over.....all while losing the complete irony that they're the only ones reacting in an overly emotional and puerile manner towards some public figure who they will never know personally
2. If you even attempt to discuss Musk, SpaceX, or Tesla on Reddit or Twitter now, regardless of anything, they will dogpile you if you're not in 100% agreement that everything he has done recently or has ever done is stupid and racist or whatever
So I decided to give up. I know that sounds hypocritical given I am responding to a Twitter-related thread related to him, but I honestly just came to this decision earlier today. I am done with the meta conversations about him and his dealings. It feels like one is damned if they do, damned if they don't. The guy doesn't doesn't deserve this level of energy or strife from us.
I'll come back to the conversation when Twitter is either vastly rising or vastly falling.
