Man, I wish they still had the Nick GAS channel. 24 hours of nothing but the best game shows from the late 80s and 90s including:

GUTS
Nick Arcade
All iterations of Double Dare
Legends of the Hidden Temple
Finders Keepers
Wild & Crazy Kids
What Would You Do?

by far the best channel on all of television while it was around

God, this thread was like a damn tidal wave of nostalgia once I saw Roundhouse mentioned.

I loved Nickelodeon as a kid growing up in the early 90's. I remember watching Nick on weekend or during summer during weekdays and it really didn't matter what came on, I enjoyed it all. GUTS, Nick Arcade, Double Dare, What Would You Do?, Hey Dude, Salute Your Shorts, etc. Ahhh good times.

And that doesn't even include the early Nicktoons and SNICK.

What? No Salute Your Shorts?!

For folks wanting their fix of are you afraid of the dark, there is an android app available called tv shows Hd, and has every episode streaming free.

OT, but Hey Dude is getting a DVD release.

Yes, you read it correctly! Nickelodeon's new deal with Shout! has struck gold for fans, bringing Hey Dude - Season 1 to DVD at long last! According to Amazon's pre-order listing (which went up over the weekend), the highly anticipated 2-DVD set will come to stores on July 19th. Cost is a mere $19.93 SRP, and you can lock in your copy at a discount using the provided link. Information sent to retailers by Shout!'s distributor, Vivendi Entertainment, shows that the running time is approx. 325 minutes, with full screen video and English stereo sound.

Hopefully SYS or AYAOTD are next. I guess Are You Afraid of the Dark came out in Canada, but is now out of print and very expensive.

Man, I would kill for SYS. That was just an awesome show.

When I had Comcast a few years ago I had the channel set to GAS about 95% of the time. It was awesome because no matter when you tuned in, it was something worth watching (except for Double Dare 2000, which sucked
Marc Summers-era Double Dare FTW

God I hope SYS is next. With the way Shout seems to be going about these, I am optomistic.

Been slowly going through Pete and Pete episodes. Damn that show was bizarre. It kinda reminds me of a proto-Scott Pilgrim type universe.

kinda. It's sort of this retro 50's style but it's so unique and SOOOOOOOO GOOOD

Need Pinwheel and The Elephant Show... also Little Koalas and Maya The Bee (both are technically anime, believe it or not, and probably my first, unbeknown to me, exposure to the medium)

i always though alex mack was sexy, I was like 7.

I had a mad crush on both her (Olenyk... Slavic-sounding last name go figure :P ) and Clarissa as a kid.

According to an article I read they will get feedback from Facebook to decide which shows to switch in and out. I think they need to make a Nick90s channel. They could even have special nights such as Snick on Saturday night with the various lineups. Hell, they could even get the original commercials that aired during that lineup of shows.

I want Fox Kids stuff back, they weren't as good as the nick/CN classics but I loved them so much

I don't know where kids talk these days on the Internet but I must know what they think of the shows that aired during the high point of Nick.

Pete and pete > Clarissa Explains it all... DONE!
Also block needs to be longer than 2hrs

What about Grimms Fairy Tale Classics and Maya the Bee? Especially GFTC, I never read any of the books so this was a great way to introduce me to a lot of there work, the really famous ones and the unknown stuff.

I remember sitting through random Nick Jr. shows like Eureeka's Castle whenever I had a day off from school.

holy shit, hey dude is awwwwwwwwful. worse than i remembered. joe torres always looks confused whenever he says something. the theme song is still pretty kickass though.
