omgkitty said:I like your poster, but yeah I agree on the taglines bit. Drive is not a tagline movie. The tagline should reflect the movie, and in this case, it's mostly silence. On another note, this Cagliostro poster is fucking awesome.

How does this site work by the way? Do you just create posters and then upload the artwork while they print and ship? Also what is the quality like? I want something of really good quality worth framing.

That's mostly what I tell my friends when I'm trying to describe it to them :lolDrahcir said:There's something about it. It's hard to explain.

The restrained tone of the entire film makes it thouroughly tense throughout. You know the driver is like an half-tamed animal. It's as though he's dancing on the edge of civility and uncontrolled violence and you're never sure when he'll lose control. That adds to the intensity of the film and makes high points - the moments where he wigs out- all the more rewarding. The driver is also enigmatic which makes the movie more compelling in that you want to learn more about him. Ultimately you don't really learn much, but seeing such an odd character (possibly a monster or some sort of wild animal) interact with "normal" people is interesting in its own way.EvilDick34 said:I don't understand the love and or praise for this film. Yup, pretty much. Society6 does all the shipping and printing, which makes it easier for lesser-known artists like myself to deal with selling prints. They're all pretty good quality - I ordered one myself (of my Baccano! poster) to test it and it looked great. I upload all my posters in the highest quality possible, so it should turn out really nice.omgkitty said:I like your poster, but yeah I agree on the taglines bit. Drive is not a tagline movie. Gosling doesn't need to do much. He is the Driver.

Alright, you win this time.CFMOORE! said:considering he has an emotional attachment to Brian Eno's track, he'd know how the real score wasn't the Eno song. He DLed the movie.
As for how I would know it was in the leaked version:

Ah, just saw the novel @ B&N. Gonna have to pick it up now.lazybones18 said:Anyone bother to read the novel? Up to Chap. 17, and I like it so far. More background on Driver, some characters not part of the movie are presented, and it does give an idea of changes that were made for movie
The version that is released now, like soon, is fairly standard, Refn revealed. It does not include any audio commentaries with either Ryan [Gosling] or myself, and it does not include any secret, revealing elements, or mysteries solved, or a huge amount of spinoffs. [But] because Im a Blu-ray fanatic no, fanatic, like religiously I hope that in the near future, I will be able to release a movie thats not just a movie, but also one that describes the process of the filmmaking, and answers some of the more mysterious elements of the success of that it has achieved.
He says they are planning an awesome edition for later next year.big ander said:Is he really saying that though? To me, it just seems like he's saying he hopes to one day make a film that he'll turn into a really awesome home release.

Awesome. I can hold off that long...I think. Sounds like it'll be worth it.

Expendable. said:YES! I'm wondering if everyone that was shitting on it before did a 180 after seeing Drive? I can't even imagine Refn taking on a sci-fi film, going to be so awesome.
