I bought every last copy my Meijer had. I feel so SOOO dirty for basicly scalping them to re-sell online.

I thought about being really evil and returning them to other retail stores with a "it was a gift, I dont have the reciept" story to get $30 back. I'm a horrible human being.

This game is the utter shit... a total trainwreck, from controls (and fuck it could have been truly awesome thanks to the Wiimote) to graphics passing through level design, extras and blablabla.
A real Nightmare.

Not quite as gobsmacking, but I saw it in Game for £12.99 the other day.

It's £9.99 now.

Plus that guy who bought a 'fan' worth of NiGHTS games - I salute you even though you're only after a profit.

Seriously this is a solid 7/10 game - dunno why it has such a bad reputation, it's totally unfounded.

Yeah I got it today for a tenner in Game, it must be bombing hard because it's been steadily discounted since release. I picked it up along with Smash Bros - the knobs in the control stick are really annoying, it definitely doesn't feel as good as the original. I tried the Wii Remote only option, to see what all the hate was about. I don't think it even uses the pointer - I aimed at the wall away from the TV and it still moved. It was awful, jittering sometimes and not moving at others. Plus the cutscenes are a disgrace.

Still, I'm entering Nightopia (the Owl has threatened to meet me there ) so we'll see how the traditional levels compare.

The core gameplay is alright, I've been playing with a Gamecube pad and it can get pretty painful after a while. I think the game is just very rough and undercooked, it feels really cheap at times and all the padding and annoying kid sequences really drag it down. I also think these kids must be the dullest sprogs ever if they dream about your stereotypical platforming worlds.

At that price though its an instant buy.

This game is ok, definitely worth $2.99, but so very strangely designed.

Why did they include on foot platforming levels?

The game would have been much better if they had eliminated them entirely.

Some of the other good ideas present are sorely underutilized. The best level in the game, where you have to hit the notes to play the classic NiGHTS music, could make for an awesome game by itself. Why is there only one level like that?

This is like the fifth NiGHTS JoD thread we've had in about a week. I hate repeating myself, but I'll say it again: JoD is a pretty good game. It's not without its flaws, but this and Sonic and the Secret Rings are some of Sega's best games this gen.

Okay so I got this game and.....

I really like it . Honestly...it's not as bad as everyone made it out to be and I'm having fun with it. I think its quite charming.

But that may just be me....I also really liked Sonic and the Secret Rings...so who knows, maybe I just have bad taste :lol. But really guys....if you see this game for cheap, pick it up and who knows. Maybe you'll be having fun like I'm having. I definitely recommend this game.

Picked it up about a month ago. I agree that the core game is good but everything else really hurts the overall package. After playing through it completely I think it might have been better if Sega had just released the core flying missions on WiiWare/XBLA/PSN and scrapped the rest.

I saw it for pretty cheap at best buy. I just got a Wii today with Galaxy, and despite the shitstorm over this game I think I will buy it. I love Nights.

Paid $50 for it as I was a huge fan of the first game, soon realized the error of my ways when that stupid owl showed up. I'd suggest putting that $3 towards the PS2 remake, which rocks.

Something like that, except the quality of this item in particular is in dispute. So I'd like the lowest price possible to minimize the pain should it turn out I do not like it.
