I have very refined tastes and, in fact, more knowledge than any video game journalist... And yes... I gave it that rating, so what's the problem?
My experience is 100% honest, and if it were wrong, people and colleagues wouldn't be giving me likes. I'm not just anyone;
I've even been on TV and in the country's most important magazine, so I have extensive knowledge...
But that image was rude... I don't do that to people.
Courtesy above all else.
Not for biased journalism like IGN, but for video game connoisseurs and enthusiasts, yes
Denial is the first symptom of grief.

It's a game that feels fun and looks cool to play, but has a very shallow depth.I had my eye on that game and wanted to play it; I remember it was one of the first games of the first Xbox 360 era... I never played it because of the RROD problem, but it was at least an attempt by FromSoftware to make a similar replica.
Absolutely...Not for biased journalism like IGN, but for video game connoisseurs and enthusiasts, yes![]()
It's not crude, it's shit.Yes, the game is crude and has a style of humor that's not really my thing... But the combat is good... despite having a very limited and experimental budget. At least I liked the cel-shaded style... other people didn't. It's one of those bad games... but if you get into it, it's not so bad.
Ninja Gaiden 3... I didn't like that one much... The combat felt very slow and rigid.
SCORE: 9.3
Reviews that give a rating lower than 8 are from people who lack expertise in this area of video games.
Don't pay them any attention.
I think people new to the action genre will enjoy it a lot more.Am assuming the game does not click for a lot of people?
I know when the game is firing on all cylinders, am mostly playing it encounter to encounter, everything else goes in the background.
I think games like this show what can be done in a melee combat gameplay loop.
Hopefully lot of devs take inspiration from it and we more games like these.
I know a lot of boomer shooters feel inspired from new Doom titles. Hopefully we also get titles that play like Doom TDA, mix up FPS formula a bit.

Dismissing any opinion that is not to your liking. Pathetic.
Game is mediocre at best and I played every single Ninja Gaiden.
Enjoy your edgy Rail Riding m8

It's not just me saying it...
I don't get zombified like many commoners do with IGN...
I mean, this game is for experts who can overcome any obstacle.
I don't know what games you like and I'm not going to argue about it, but in my opinion, I have exquisite tastes.
No... I disagree.I think people new to the action genre will enjoy it a lot more.
Longtime fans of ninja gaiden seem to struggle to enjoy it in it's entirety.
The best thing they could've done? Just make a new IP entirely with this and maybe Ryu just shows up as a cameo. Don't call it ninja gaiden because it really really isn't. Then I think it would've been accepted more, albeit the level design is still its biggest fault and once you understand the combat logic it just boils down to repeating the same parry into obliterate loop.
I would look to give the franchise to someone else perhaps than platinum. The problem is who do you give it to?
The fact that you couldn't finish it is a different matter.
It's hard to take you seriously at all when you stay insanely stupid shit like how your opinions are some refined holier than thou bullshit.No... I disagree.
If they have skill issues, that's a different matter.
The game is good, and it's great that it's out.
If I could finish it on very hard mode, I don't know why other people can't.
But criticizing it for absurd and trivial things is just that... excuses.
The same thing happened with Nier, which was criticized back in the day. I played it then, and it seemed amazing... and now it turns out they actually like it.

Finish what? NG4? I did on release. What are you even talking about? The fact that you couldn't finish it is a different matter.![]()
I'd still like a ninja gaiden 5, but I don't want to be Yakumo, and I don't think platinum is the best to drive this bus… and I'm a longtime franchise fan.People hating games just because of the name on the box. Tale as old as time. DMC, Resident Evil 6, FFXIII, Splinter Cell Conviction, Prince of Persia (2008), Metroid Other M, and on and on. This is how almost all long running series die, strangled in their bed by their biggest "fans." And then after the series is dead, 10 years later, they almost always change their mind and like the game.
It's fine to take a series' history into account when describing something, but I really think people should strive to evaluate games on their own merits. Is it good or not, just as its own thing.
Small sum up about Xenogears:It's hard to take you seriously at all when you stay insanely stupid shit like how your opinions are some refined holier than thou bullshit.
If you're memeing fine, but if you're seriously this delusional then even giving you objective information on why the game is bad is pointless.
Small sum up from the OT:
-Terrible checkpoint system
-Yakumo is not cool
-Barely play as Ryu
-Ryu only has one weapon
-Bosses are piss easy
-The leveling skill system is a joke
-The game uses yellow tape everywhere to guide you
-The levels are dull, copy and paste that have next to no exploration like games in the past
-The higher difficulties don't change what enemies you encounter or volume. They just do more damage and attack more frequently.
-The rail sections are idiotic and pointless.
-The combat even on master ninja boils down to the exact same thing to do in each room. Games in the past did not work like this and it was for the better.
-The soundtrack is far step down from MGRising or NG2
-Visually it looks and runs great. I'll give it that.
Hope that clears it up for you.
This kind of argument would work if you could spell the main characters name correctly, and actually come up with real problems to discuss like say disc 2 being a mess lol. Xeno has plenty to discuss that's done wrong but FEI being a hand to hand martial artist really isn't one.Small sum up about Xenogears:
-Terrible checkpoint system, actually no checkpoints at all!
-Fey is not cool
-Not playing as FF character at all in Xenogears, game started as FF!
-Fey has no weapon.
-Citan in party - EVERYTHING is piss easy
-The leveling skill system is a joke (you need to fucking press same buttons hundred times to unlock new moves - wtf is that?)
-The game uses yellow tape everywhere to guide you - ok i have to make a pause, this argument is getting pretty tiresome. It was proven milliion times during develompent with QA and playtesters, if you don't use the yellow tape/pain players wont know where to go and WILL get lost. It is mandatory with new realistic lightning and new engines in games.
-The levels are dull, copy and paste that have next to no exploration like other SquareSoft games in the past
-There is no difficulty option so Naturaly we can't change what enemies you encounter or volume.
-The 3D mech fighting sections are idiotic and pointless.
-The combat boils down to the exact same thing to do in each room - USE Citan. Games in the past did not work around 1 OP party member this and it was for the better.
-The soundtrack is far step down from FF series, threre is like 10 tracks for the whole 80 hr game? They use the "Flight" trackover and over.
-Visually it looks and runs great. Cool idea with 2D sprites in 3D enviroment I'll give it that.
Hope that you got my message for you. If not lemme write it - you can find such things in EVERY game.
(Btw i adore Xenogears - one of my favorite games of all time.)
I hate the stuff I hated originally. DMC: Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy XIII are still as awful as they were on release. I also loved Conviction and Prince of Persia at release.People hating games just because of the name on the box. Tale as old as time. Now we are getting somewhere, so 2nd Disc is like that because of time/budget right? How much do you think was the budget of Ninja Gaiden 4? Or is it an "indie" game with Hollywood actors like Expedition 33?This kind of argument would work if you could spell the main characters name correctly, and actually come up with real problems to discuss like say disc 2 being a mess lol. Xeno has plenty to discuss that's done wrong but FEI being a hand to hand martial artist really isn't one.
Oh brother…
I formed my own opinion of NG4 by buying the deluxe version and playing through it twice. I don't care what YTers say. I literally like wanted dead and Babylons fall… you think I give a shit what ign or asmongold or someone has to say on a title? Now we are getting somewhere, so 2nd Disc is like that because of time/budget right? The thing is it's a freaking miracle we got a new Ninja Gaiden, and instead of celebrating it people like you trash it for no good reason - i duuno, gamers nowadays.... In example of Expedition the close their eyes for every cut corner that game made, because youtubers praise it and bash Ninja gaiden because same youtubers lie about it.
I dunno your posted pictures/gifs in this thread looked pretty evil to me, like with intent to hurt the one who you replied toI formed my own opinion of NG4 by buying the deluxe version and playing through it twice. I gave it a 7/10… hardly trashing. Me stating what I don't like is thought out and explained.
You dweebs cannot handle debates or discourse because heaven forbid something you enjoyed others did not or vice versa. People love super Metroid I don't. People glaze Clair 33 as Jesus' second coming and while it's my game of the generation it's not without its issues I've shared in the past.
And to top off all this I still want a ninja gaiden 5 but I just hope it's given to someone else who can make it more in the spirit of ninja gaiden 2, and not whatever NG4 is.
So no I don't know what person you're trying to project onto me but I don't fit your bill of this evil character who shits on the game and wish it never existed or don't appreciate we got a new ninja gaiden etc.
NG2 is a 9.5/10 for me so I had some expectations coming in. Rising is like an 8/10. For this to fall short of either for me is where the disappointment lies.

The game is divisive. People sincerely love it and other people sincerely hate it. Others are somewhere in between.I hate the stuff I hated originally. DMC: Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy XIII are still as awful as they were on release. I also loved Conviction and Prince of Persia at release.
I do not intend to play this game until Two Masters DLC is out and will form my opinion then. Considering that I never gave a rat's ass about Revengeance and this release is praised for going in that direction the optics are not good. The two saving graces are probably that I love rail grinding in games and have fun with weapons that are offbeat like Kage-Hikuro.
Agree with this statement. Having discourse over a title is fine and good, but trying to change someone's mind is a fruitless endeavor. The game is divisive. People sincerely love it and other people sincerely hate it. Others are somewhere in between.
I have given up recommending things to anyone. I just try to look inward and say what I think and never let anyone push me to change my mind. Thats how I arrived at my post and the 9.5 score, which is definitely on the high end from what I've seen. But I tried to back it up with a lot of specific details to show its not something I threw out randomly.
Whatever you personally decide is fine. Looking forward to your impressions.
Nah, last part is made up)Are you reading what he's typing to illicit responses of fart huffing gifs? He stated his opinion is superior to others because he wrote in some magazine and was on TV or some shit….
Where I'm of the mind all of our opinions are equally terrible, mine included.
And you recognize the greatness of RE6. Cool poster man.Nah, last part is made up)
It's how you interpret it, maybe what he wanted to say is that character action games are ofter overlooked by reviewers, and we - you, me, him - hardcore players, notice more and OUR opinion are superior.
I love stylish action games, and i think they are very hard to make/design, so they feel challenging and fun to play. So when one comes up in the face of NG4, it makes me sad they don't get recognised. In my opinion meter mechanic and bloodraven moves were really cool and fun to use, but people focus on irrelevant stuff.
It's like people trashed Resident eveil 6, but quick shot mechanic in that game felt to me kinda genious.
You mentioned yellow tape/paint in your previous post, but RE6 as an example didn't explain its mechanins (games are super smart right. they dont need stupid yellow directions) - you needed to figure it out, but people played it like any other TPS and hated it for that. But if you played aroud quick shot and stamina management - game felt unique and superb. I was bummed when they dropped it in later games, but this scenes in lates RE9 trailer gives me hope they are giving this mechanic another shot (haha)

That's right, my friend, you can't please everyone... But they're the first ones to demand the return of an IP address... As I mentioned before... experience is what matters most... not so much a number, and there have been several titles that have been appreciated over time. This game may well be appreciated over time...Gotta love cherry picked video reviews.

You do you. It's either English isn't your first language and thus the disconnect in you not fully grasping what you're saying, or you're just unaware of how it sounds when read in general.I didn't lie... But you are lying when you imply that I feel superior to people, which isn't true... And proof of that is that I get along well with my friends and I support them...
And I like to help. You're making false insinuations... What I mean is that I'm not just any YouTuber giving an opinion...
I'm passionate about this hobby... So that insinuation is automatically flawed.
Lol.... And that's not even mentioning Resident Evil 6, because we'd be stuck in a loop of argument.![]()
From getting my ass kicked by the random ass mobs in chapter 1 to pulling off some slick combo in master ninja difficulty is satisfying as fuck. Loved every second of the game.

Save your money. It's an OKAY'ish game. Combat can be fun at times, but, it is a bad Ninja Gaiden game. A really bad Ninja Gaiden game. I also question the "art" style because things sort of blend in sometimes making it hard to see.Been meaning to buy this forever. Think I will do it now. Ninja Gaiden combat is always special.
Edit: Game just went on sale too. Excellent.
