It's not how it looks, at least to me. Even if it looked just like Black on the original XBOX, it'd be enough for all those new battles, a playable Rachel, and a new weapon. More, more, more!

No Sh*t! That was one of the most impressive next gen games I have ever seen.

My only question is why is this not also on the 360... didn't Itagki say that he understands his main fans are 360 owners, and that he would support them first!

He did. He supported them with Ninja Gaiden and NG Black.... and will do with NG2.
 
I need to bust out some Ninja Gaiden this weekend. The video totally reminded my how incredible fast, agile, just straight up awesome the action combat is. I need to warm up my weaksauce skills to something decent again.

Ninja Gaiden 2 will most likely be X360 exclusive. PS2 got a souped up port of DoA2.

You can bet Tecmo won't let it go exclusive if Signa has strong sells. It would be up to MS to dish out some money to get it completely exclusive.

They probably just changed the camera angles after someone played to make it look more cinematic, those are Ryu's in-game animations in the trailer (except for the part with Doku).
 
holy crap that trailer looked sweet. With this and the core pack including hdmi, ive gone from not getting a ps3, to getting one as soon as I find one. :D
 
Now that I saw the IGN footage it doesn't actually look as good as those screens that were posted early... looks pretty similar to the Xbox version... just sharper and more/better effects.

Still awesome though!

Rachel's fight could be part cutscene, its hard to say since we've never saw her fight in the old NG.

I get the feeling that Rachel will be play more like a tank character with giant honking axes and clubs; and she'd destroy the stage to get through things. I don't know, I think it would be a nice change of pace from nimble, fairy-like Ryu.

:lol What? First you say it's barely an upgrade. Then it's CG. Then it's touched up. Listen little fella, there's no CG at all in Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Every CG cut-scene from the original has been re-done in real-time according to Team Ninja.

The camera angle thing is the same shit Kojima does with the gameplay trailers of MGS games.

Man Himuro, when did you turn into a raving xbot?
 
I believe that this is obviously about money but its also about Itagaki's ego.


He is going to love that his game on a PS console is going to be superior than old PS main stays like MGS4 and DMC4. He loves competition and he is very open about it.


I wouldn't be surprised if after this show he won't do a few interviews where he calls out the reactions his game got vs. some heavy weights like MGS.


I love him for that. :D

I just pray that the new things are actually incorporated into the story this time. Ninja Gaiden Black hid its new content.
 
Imagine if Playstation 1 fans tried to downplay REmake GCN. Now imagine Nintendo had no kind of exclusivity (for any time) over the games in the RE series. So just a redone Resident Evil with great graphics and new content, and the new games are multiplatform instead of exclusive.

Now, consider the fact that Ninja Gaiden 2 is not only coming to the 360, but probably the 360 first. Yeah, that's how silly some of the comments in this thread are.

I have no earthly idea why anyone would be defensive about this game. It sold very well, actually, and will probably be a nice addition to the PS3 library. The Xbox is dead and buried, and any advantages it had over the PS2 are set in history.

Any PS3 game that doesn't look significantly better than an Xbox game (I'm looking at you, Untold Legends) is probably crap anyway. This looks awesome.

so with 1080p to 720p, there will be some AA effecting the game, which should be nice.

Well, the background textures and the fingers on the model could stand to be improved quite a bit. I actually wasn't bowled over with that shot as much as I was with the others.
