Nintendo 3DS - Friend Codes - Sharing numbers... in 3D!

Here's a question about the friends list, GAF:

I deleted a friend because he bought another 3DS, then after a few weeks tried to add him again (the same old 3DS) and it automatically added him, with his actual nickname and stats, like when you are the second one to add a friend.

Does this mean if you delete a friend and you can't see him anymore he can still see you, when you are online etc.?
Or is it like Xbox Live? when you delete a friend you are automatically deleted from his list too.

I got my 3ds at launch but got tired of the tedious, mind-numbing process of adding friends to my 3ds after I got to 36. But now I have worked up the will to do some more friending. I've added myself to the spreadsheet in the OP, and will soon begin adding people. I imagine PMing is the best way to alert folks.

Yeah, my first time though the DX version. Played the B&W version on my Game Boy Pocket back in the day. The animations that pop up when pictures are taken are always cute and surprising.

I'm another one that just bought at walmart today. I didn't buy any games yet, as I had to also buy a new laptop today.

Not sure what the benefit to friends codes are, as I didn't have any wii friends, but my code is

Do we have a Mii thread as well where people post QR Codes for the Miis they've made? Or is that buried somewhere in this thread and I just didn't see it?
