It was actually a bacon and cheese baked potato. The 3D effect was actually the best out of all the launch titles as you could actually taste the textures and cheesiness of the the meal. I don't know what reviewers were thinking when they gave their impressions. Idiots I tell you, idiots.
how many hours of content?

I mean it's not a digital download, so it's a ripoff

So I received the Hori screen protectors and ughhh... I was able to get the touch screen on PERFECTLY, the top screen on the other hand... didn't work so well. I honestly don't mind because it stuck out like a sore thumb. Purple, PURPLE as purple gets. Took it off without even thinking twice but am happy with the lower screen.

My god, OoT 3D looks amazing even in the 2D Screenshots. Day -12

Hope they put up 3D trailers for games somewhere on the 3DS.

Yeah I got the touch screen on no problem but had just a little bit of dust under the top. And when I peeled it off to try and get it out it just multiplied. So I took it off. As long as the bottom is on I feel it's fine.

The eShop will have 3D trailers for games and maybe even Demos (if older pictures of the eShop are anything to go by).

Picked up these titles today for my JP 3DS.

Doubt Gundam 3D will be coming over here, but Blazblue CS II is a big possibility since it's headed to Europe already. I'll drop some impressions sometime later on tonight. =)

I'm really interested to know if the sprites in BB are as ugly as they were in Calamity Trigger on the PSP. Looking forward to those impressions!

dude why do you post Wendy's with your 3DS stuff and you should have bumped the Japan Launch thread those guys really need help keeping us updated on Japan's "Launch Window" which these games fit

p.s. I wish my Wendy's was closer those spicy chicken nuggets are awesome

Okay, weird thing:

Has anyone had several streetpass hits and spotpass notifications come in, without the corner light on the exterior case starting to glow?

For some reason this afternoon, I haven't caught the light glowing when I found there was a new notification to check.

It may just be timing messing with my head. Time and place are a mystery to me.

Fair enough. I'll drop in over there as well. A Naruto Shippuuden and One Piece game just recently came out as well.

I think my eyes are finally accustomed to the 3D on the 3DS. After playing with it for a week. My eyes aren't trying to see my 2D computer screen in 3D anymore.

Anyone else?

I played a bit of Gundam 3D and it's exactly like the PSP Gundam Battle series, so it was easy for me to jump into. Lazy Scamco/Artdink put no touch screen capabilities in this one as far as I've seen so far, lol. PSP graphics basically, but... man does the 3D effect really rock in this one. Just watching the bullets fly past you while you're watching your rockets zoom into the background is a visual treat. GUNDAMUUUUUU!!!

I was reading a book today and I could swear the words were popping out in 3D for a moment. Damn 3DS messing with my head.

oh dear... Ghetto Walmart has resorted to bribery to move these blue units and no date on when they are getting the awesome black in to save their sales goal.

I am glad Nintendo finally understands having good stock is positive. I hope Sony understands this with NGP. Fuck shortages.

I hope this holds up through the Holiday

It is about time that being able to supply consumers is seen as good. But this also undoubtedly brings about people saying that it is selling poorly because of its availability

In terms of supply and logistics the 3DS launch has been exemplary. Of course, if something big like Mario Kart (and god forbid, a Mario Kart bundle) shows up this Christmas, God could not ship enough 3DS units to prevent shortages.

Yeah there are still systems everywhere I go. Target, Best Buy, Gamestop, you name it.

Fun but useless anecdotal fact: Every store I went to today had every game in stock, save one: Ridge Racer 3D. Every store was sold out. I already have a copy so no big for me.

On the other hand, every store had about a dozen (or more) copies of Asphalt 3D.

Mario Kart 3DS Bundle with Steering Wheel Attachment!

Actually, that would be a horrible idea. I don't think people really liked the Wheel on the Wii (or, at least, they thought they were paying more to get it and wanted the game cheaper without the wheel).

the Wheel was terrible but I certainly remember a bunch of psychopaths defending it so...

...thankfully such a broken gimmick would be impossible to replicate on 3DS. We are blessedly safe from shells and non-utilized peripherals

Also, they'll have Mario Kart and Animal Crossing for Holiday no? So yeah they'll need that stock. Still, good on them so far.

I could skip both. I'm boycotting Mario Kart until they stop adding cheesy game breaking weapons and of course Animal Crossing is the worst franchise ever created. So I hope Kid Icarus delivers.

Abundant units are a great thing, but I think it's pretty clear that the availability is a combination of large supply and somewhat softer than expected demand so far. No big deal.

Ridge Racer was recalled for being too awesome.

I knew a girl in college in the UK that wrecked all of us with the wheel.

Some people preferred not to use the wheel (and just use bare wiimotes), I used a Wavebird, but she played the game so well that she made us look like petulant children fighting over 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place. She had never played a Mario Kart game before MKWii, too.

They've only spoken to Mario Kart being one of their potential holiday games. Animal Crossing appears to have gone MIA.

Maybe it was recalled because any legitimate Ridge Racer fan abandoned ship at its 30fps, frequent slowdown upon nitrous use bottom tier quality.

How difficult is it to make an Animal Crossing game?

Same template. Grotesque last-gen visuals. And then you just throw in a billion different rugs and wallpapers and gadgets that do absolutely nothing for the obsessive compulsive set. You don't need to design any gameplay to make it so...

...surely it'll make holiday?

Same here although replace a book with neogaf on my iPad.
The free screen protector from Amazon is great! The top screen is way less of a dust magnet now.

Sony's home took millions and years to develop. It's not easy :P

Sony's Home has more gameplay than any Animal Crossing game and also a legitimate online mode where you can interest with hundreds.

Of course it too was horrifyingly awful, and somehow it had more unappealing visuals than even Animal Crossing. Yet still, certainly, it was doing more than AC

Those things are a shame, but it's a fuck-awesome ridge game with a ton of content. Did you complete it before returning it?

I think I'm at 35% completion after 7 hours or so, which is fabulous.

I might have to hold off on buying the system for now. I got a headache after 5 minutes of playing around with Face Raiders. Sucks because I think the 3d effect is great. Oh well. =p

I got to 90% after 9 hours, but I returned it. I also won every single race in 1st. Not one loss.

The slowdown was so frequent, the recycled content starting so irritating, and the 30fps unforgivable. The visuals and texture work were truly substandard

I mean, I complained about the 30fps, but if they had AT LEAST locked that bitch in I could have maybe enjoyed it some 7.0 amount. The slowdown that occurs at nearly every nitrous use is just the last straw. It got worse and worse the more I played.

I think you are all just extremely bad at MarioKart.

One would think that after the very vocal fan outcry over how lazy the series has gotten that they're taking the time to do more than "take previous game and add one new area, change nothing else."

Then you remember that Animal Crossing Wild World got similar bitching, and they still gave fans City Folk.

I mean it seems they finally updated the visuals to, like, Dreamcast quality. Maybe they think that's enough?

I bet there will be at least one surprise game that will be released in the fall; I wouldn't want it to be Paper Mario 3DS since Super Paper Mario has assured me that Intelligent Systems really wanted to make boring visual novels the entire time, but I'd bet money on that being the one they'd go with to compliment Mario Kart.
