Nintendo: Bayonetta's New Home

Pretty sure he was just talking about the game itself. At least that's how I interpreted it.
Might be wishful thinking on my part but if he was talking about the game, wouldn't he say something more along the lines of "I don't want to spoiling anything" as opposed to the "I don't know what I can reveal" line as if the Nintendo Ninjas were hiding in shadow.

Those comments are Pathetic

nintendogs think they're awesome because they have one mature game, congrats on having a game where you play as a fucking female. xcock one also had to do the same thing, secure a female protagonist in hopes of getting fat, pathetic, lazy, disgusting losers to buy them to see bouncing tits on a video game. pc/ps4 master race for life"

I regret everthing.

Lol I'd bring up metroid but he probably would think it's a killzone space marine ripoff and that Samus is a dude bro's name

I'm hoping I'll find some money to pick these games up. It was one-two-three punch with Theatrhythm, then Hyrule Warriors, then Smash. If not at launch, I'll get it for the holidays.

Just so she can die off again? That seems kinda cruel.
Awful post, awful attitude. Bayonetta 2 is an amazing gift to everyone who appreciates content packed games that put gameplay first, rather than AAA cash grabs. Have fun with your day one DLC and season passes.

The producer really blinks a lot. Just a random observation.

The way they are talking makes it seem like Bayonetta 1 is a permanent pack-in for the game, not just something for initial sales, right? I'm not sure when I'll get this since my wallet is crying just from recently getting a Wii U in the first place.

Wasn't Kamiya still somewhat involved with Bayonetta 2's development? I thought he was an adviser and a writer on it at least.
I think it's likely he was directing it up until Sega cancelled development and pre-production began on what would later come to be known as The Wonderful 101.

Yeah he might have just meant they have more drive than he does in terms of how much more content they can continue squeezing into this project while still making the deadline.

Think someone should ask Kamiya about this? Maybe he can confirm the context of what was said.

Of course, that'd be like walking into a bear's cave, covered in honey. :P

Edit: Actually JP Kellams would be better.

Great video - I love the way Yamagami speaks about Platinum Games towards the end and how Kuroda talks about the freedom they were given by Nintendo during development.

Many great games like this don't get a sequel - I have a lot of respect towards Nintendo for making this happen.

16 days!

Looks like more Nintendo X Platinum goodness is coming in the future. It's strange how Platinum fits perfectly within the Nintendo DNA like MonolithSoft did.

Did they say that Nintendo workers also collaborated in the development of Bayonetta 2? If so, they did more than just give money for the project, forget a later port to PS4 or XOne, no chance.

Infinite Space U!!! Believe.

This time, the battle scale will be on fleet scales. U can fully customized ur flag ship and walk around the ship.

The ship boarding battle will now all in 3D like Valkyrie Chronicles kind of battle.

Only on Wii U.^_^

Or just give me Vanquish 1+2 U. Plizzzz Ninty.

Thats how most Nintendo partnered projects are. Even Devils Third and games like Last Story and Pandoras Tower had Nintendo development teams on them.

LOL. So awesome.

I wonder what overall saturation percentage of install base Bayo 2 will have compared to PS360. My guess is bigger. I know I am 100% in.

But less people got Bayo 2 on Wii U than PS3 alone.

I've seen this argument so many times and I still try to understand how this makes any sense, so I want to ask you: why should we care if Bayonetta 2 sells less than Bayo 1 if the game was dead & buried and was never coming out? do you believe Bayo 2 shouldn't be released at all because it would sell less than the first game? I want to know what is the logic behind posts like this.

i hope Nintendo doesnt hog Platinum for too long, playing Dust:Elysian Tale and it reminds me how bad i need my Char action fix

i hope Platinum does somthing on PS4 soon (also i do know about the Avatar game, ill probably get it)

Kamiya still did the story and he said that while he wasn't in every meeting, etc... for Bayonetta 2, he was involved with some of the most important aspects of the sequel.

Nintendo isn't hogging them, they're a contract team they make games for whoever pays them. So far Microsoft is paying them for Scalebound and Activision just paid them for Legend of Korra. Unless Sony or another 3rd Party publisher is funding another game they have little say on where they're gonna work next.

If Nintendo is planning to support the series from now on, I want Bayonetta to have a new home because I'd rather have more Bayonetta than none at all <3

I guess now it depends on the sales, else Bayonetta gets relegated to background character in another Nintendo game, instead of getting her own sequels.

Glad Bayonetta 2 is a thing, sad to think if it does not sell well Nintendo won't give a damn when they shelve it.

Not quite so little, I would wager that if the head of Platinum asked Nintendo to buy them, Nintendo would do it in an instant. And it'd be in their best interest due to the definite work and free reign if the free reign during Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101 holds up afterward.

Hell they could arrange that Platinum could work on 3rd-party collabs ala Monolith exclusively for Nintendo platforms in addition, I mean Monolith still made many games with Namco Bandai after being bought (all for DS and PXZ for 3DS).

Not saying it'll happen, but Platinum could make that jump and Nintendo would jump at the chance. I actually doubt any other company would take them in.

chances for sony doing a contract are like 10% which kinda sucks.
i say hog cause i feel nintendo is gonna continue the partnership with platinum, they want you guys real bad.

Nice video, very interesting. I like how enthusiastic is Yamagami. Actually everyone involved in this game is very passionate about it.

The teaser at the end could be interpreted in both way, but I will keep my hopes low until something is announced.

I think people make these arguments because they want it on other platforms, frankly. They'd probably be able to bite the bullet of a sequel doing less than its predecessor if it was on a platform they had more interest in, so they can be more content with it just existing.

People are weird like that. The fact many publishers bailed on Bayonetta 2 already gives the impression publishers believe the game would be a failure. The only one who got involved despite this is Nintendo. Somehow, people find that troubling instead of the game being put in purgatory.

Looking at Platinum's production history, and considering Bayo 2 and Legend of Korra are mostly done, it would make sense to think Scalebound isn't the only thing they'll be working on when the other two are out. Whether the most-likely something else in the works is something with Nintendo is hard to guess.

it pains me to say this, but i do see nintendo funding Vanquish 2, just so wiiu can have a hardcore shooter of some kind.
