Don't get me wrong, I love being able to play fashion Zelda. But moving away from the classic outfits, not even including them, that's shitty. I'm pretty pissed about them being tied to Amiibo. I was under the impression they were obtainable in game until after release.



It is if you happen to have the amiibo it's tied to and get lucky from the drop.

BotW is fantastic but I've been kind of sad that Link isn't in his green the entire game and, as stupid as it sounds, I'd be having more fun if he was. Pretty pissed most of the classic outfits are tied to amiibo.

Link Dress Up is one of my favourite features of Breath of the Wild, so I have no problem with them dumping the goofy hat. How am I going to show off my sweet Rito braids or my Ninja mask with a dunce cap on?

Hahahaha yes my thread is redeemed by the word of god!!!

For some reason, I was under the impression that people didn't appreciate Takizawa's art for the series.
The look for BotW and TP is so much on point. He was not the art director for SS, though. And it shows. It bothered me so much they would take the images of Buddha and eastern guardian dogs and applied it to the game as is, without adapting them to fit the Zelda universe. Felt so out of place, for me.

Yeah it's hard to believe there's that many shrines, there's times where I haven't seen one for what feels like hours

The Hebra region has some of the trickiest shrines to find, to the point where even the shrine radar probably wont help you.

I got sick of the Assasins Creed style hood (despite looking cool) so when i got a pair of earrings first thing i did was upgrade them only so he had nothing in the head again.

Hatless Link is the best.

I think the look is starting to date kind of harshly. If they're going to keep the thematic, they need to redesign it pretty intensely. What they did for Breath is the best he's looked since... he didn't have the outfit in Wind Waker.

Also, the visual fidelity of the E3 2011 HD tech demo was great and they had Link in full classic green tunic garb.

the Hylian Hood looks better than any of the pointy hats and offers a roughly similar silhouette anyway

honestly it would be cool to see more variety in Link's look in future games. the customization in BotW is really nice so maybe we'll see more of that in the future

never really thought about it but ... yeah. link's classic getup is sort of dinky when i think about it. not a huge deal either way but i vastly prefer BotW's design. they should have more bespoke designs going forward

I definitely like the champion tunic more than the green getup. TP probably has the closest thing to an okay look (the pants on all the rest are awful), but I hope it gets retired. Champion tunic, Hylian / Gerudo / Sand / Snow boots and Gerudo jewelry all day.
