I don't know what you guys are complaining about. I think this pretty cool. This will certainly make me pop into every McDonald's/Starbucks I see when walking around with my 3DS.

It is neat. I had given up on Streetpassing because I rarely found people outside of campus. However, it's hard for me to leave the house on a day out and not end up near a handful of these locations. Streetpassing may actually be a functional feature in the US now.

The Streetpass relay is neat. It's not about downloading 10 peoples data at once. The amount of available Nintendo Zones in most places means you'll hit a new street pass every time you turn into a new street, pass a mcdonalds or subway etc. All it means is the next time you walk through town, you'll still get a tonne of hits.

My only complaint about treating it like a streetpass with one go at a time, is it changes little for more rural areas. If your in a city, sure.., it also kinda sucks if your hopping to SP for a game like animal crossing.

Just thought of something. Does this mean you can streetpass yourself potentially?

You walk past a hot spot. Data is stored.
Nobody else with a 3DS passes afterwards.
You do the same tomorrow. Would you get a hit?!

Ha! No! The closest hotspot to me is 15 miles away according to Nintendos hotspot finder.

Probably a big improvement in towns though, I suppose.

The only issue I can think of is, I normally carry 2 3dses with me, going to be no bloody good if it starts giving me my own 3ds when I'm passing these :/.
