...I think I knew this, but wanted to ask anyway just in case. I only got maybe 30-40% of the way in, so it's not disastrous, but it still sucks.

new/different emulators. save data is thus incompatible.

where you CAN do this with Wii retail disc saves you have in Wii mode when you then buy the Wii U eShop version of that game which boots into Wii mode and then reads you disc save (you can boot either the download or disc version and use the same save at your whim).

Gives all the fucks
So I bought a 64GB USB stick to act as storage for a few Wii U games I want to redownload. But it's telling me that there's not enough free space available (11.3GB for DKC Tropical Freeze) despite having the USB stick inserted & says there's 59GB available.

Am I just not able to use it as storage, or is there something I'm missing? I formatted it to use for my Wii U.

Edit: If it matters, I bought a 3.0 USB, not a 2.0, because I figured the faster read/write speed would be better, but I doubt that'd make a difference.

Did you copy (not move) your existing dkctf save from the internal memory to the external memory? If not, do so and then also turn the console off and then on. Then try redownload it.

I'll do that, then. Will I have this issue with Wind Waker HD since I don't have any save data for it?

Edit: Thank you for the help, I got DKC TF to redownload & had no issue redownloading Punch-Out on Wii. Nor with Wind Waker HD. Now would I just need to recopy the new save data from WWHD to my Wii U to ensure nothing happens to it?

I keep a copy of all saves on the internal memory as a backup. But everything runs off the external memory.

Nintendo eShop cards are 15% off at Best Buy for Black Friday. Didn't see it in their ad, but the cards are still on sale! I fully expect these to carry over to Switch, as well, for whatever that's worth. (^_^)

Tomorrow.

mmm now that I'm re-reading my post I see that maybe I didn't express myself correctly. Is there a list with the EU Cyber Deals? (I didn't want to know when they were up on the eshop to purchase them :p)

If the list is available tomorrow then forget everything I said... and thank you! hahaha

They tweeted the date a few days ago, if we were to get the data beforehand, we'd already got it by now.

Calling Shiggy and TheMoon regarding Paper Jam (physical). Have you seen it cheaper than the Cyber Deal anywhere? (23,99€). Honest question here because it's the only deal that interests me :D

iirc, it's been something like that on amz.de.

Thanks! I'm still thinking that there'll be (at least) another batch of Nintendo Selects for 3DS so I'm hesitant to buy the game because of that (Paper Jam, Majora's Mask and Luigi's Mansion 2 are prime candidates for this). Anyway, I'll think about it :)

Hrrm...it's not giving me the upgrade discount for Majora's, it's charging me full price :/

Yeah, how do these work? I'd love to grab Tokyo Mirage Sessions for £34.99 but it keeps telling me I need to top up my account before I can see the final cost. I really don't want to add £50 for a £34.99 game!

I grabbed it for £18 from Amazon UK a while back if that helps?

you don't need to do that. when you go to the part of the checkout process where it gives you the option of how much to add, select the one at the bottom which says "add needed funds"

Does it only work when purchasing on the console itself? I managed to get all the way to the confirmation page and it was still £49.99 on the webstore.

Never mind, didn't spot the bit about having to set up promotional emails.

Anyone found any good microSD card deals this weekend? Newegg is selling 200GB ones for $50 (with adapter), and I wonder if that'll be the price we see (in Canada) on Boxing Day.

Best Buy has some good ones in the 128 GB range, etc. Isn't the limit on n3DS still 32GBs, though, unless you do partition hocus pocus?

I've been playing a bit of Sadame since I picked it up on sale a while back. Good game if not a bit easy. Is there anything else out there like it? The whole Diablo-esque loot game?

Fire and ice on sale already? I recommend getting it, it's short and decent for the discount it's going for.

What's the difficulty for some publishers not doing this?

Germany has it's own gaming rating agency, that charges RIDICULOUS prices to get a game rated in Germany. Like, no comparison to basically getting it rated for release in all other European countries combined or anywhere else in the world.
Some smaller indie games have therefore skipped releasing in Germany completely.

With a recent change in European law however, there is now a unified European rating that qualifies a video game for a Germany release as well.
Publishers can get the game rated there to release it in Germany, but for most publishers it's not worth the effort for old games that they already consider released.

I am not sure what the hold up is with releasing it in NZ and AU though. I would guess it's something similar.
