Emily Rogers says a lot of things.
Yep, she insisted Soul Caliber 5 would be a Wii U launch title. She obviously does hear things and has somehow established connections with indies. But her rumours always seem like she's heard a tidbit and made huge leaps of imagination. Sometimes it pays off and she looks like she knows her stuff, but often she is so wide of the mark that it damages any credibility she has built up.

beyond good & evil makes sense if they can make it out early this gen. since it's been over a decade since the first was revealed, they can technically treat it as a new franchise and would probably be way more successful in finding an audience.

i highly doubt it's coming to wii u unless it's a multiplatform/crossgen game or they just didn't want to redo all characters/environments a second time.

Exclusive? No way in hell. It's a multiplatform IP that needs all the sales it can get and a sequel at the cusp of a new generation would be the perfect opportunity to basically launch it like any new IP. It will be multiplatform but it will very very very very likely get a Wii U version since the IP fits incredibly well with the perceived Nintendo audience and, you know, the first game had a camera and what better console out there to implement a camera mechanic than the Wii U.

And a lot of them are true. Also, common sense :)

1. What if Nintendo just funds the project ?
2. What things she said have actually come true ?

What has she said before that's true?

I'm not being snarky, I just have no idea.

A bunch of things. Can't recall specifics. I remember one thing and that was the YouTube app heading to the Wii, for example. She doesn't make up random nonsense, that has been proven at the very least.

And in this case with BG&E, it's just her using common sense and guessing.

Still waiting on that Wii U to 3DS transfer.

She said nothing other than that it might be "beneficial to own both devices in the future." What people read into that is not on her.

Not sure about BG&E2, but Emily is pretty cool and knows bunch of things

Posting Michael Jackson in a video game context is cruel as it simply serves as a reminder that, should the gods ever grace us with a Space Channel 5 Part 3, it will not be the same for his absence.

RIP Space Michael

It won't happen though. MMO is against the core ideologies GameFreak has for the Pokémon games.

A spin-off MMO is plausible, but main series is not

There is. Pokémon Rumble U is a download title, sitting high on the Wii U eShop charts in Japan each week. In Japan, there are currently two series of figures out, as well, for it coming in at 200 Yen a piece, though through Gachapon Machines

The game is 1800 Yen for download, and they're selling download cards in stores so it's getting good reach in Japan. It's quite likely to be localised and I'd be surprised if we didn't get localisation confirmation during E3. The previous games in the series were huge. The first one was consistently at the top of Wii Shop Channel charts for over 2 years and the 3DS one was one of the first 3DS games to break 1 million units sold. I would provide a link to a site with more details, but the mods would kill me for doing so :p

Thanx, but its still a few games. NFC has the potential and for us (america & EU) right now this function is useless.

What about Scanning a card and you get exclusive content (skins, maps) (COD, if its coming)
for smash--> scan it and get a special trophy or special outfit
Skylanders--> scan your bought skylander
Animal crossing furniture -->

Like Kid Icarus uprising, work with different cards like oldschool Nintendo, back to the roots!! It will give every game a special feeling!

Ok thats sad now I think of it. I am so grateful it came out on xbla though. I never finished it on dreamcast

And instead of Soul Calibur 5 it turned into that other Namco fighting game, TTT2. Wrong IP, same publisher, same genre, same release date.

So guys, is there anyone in here that knows about Nintendo's line-up at E3? And if so, have these persons taunted something?

Just curious but are we just gonna use this thread for the Direct or is someone gonna make a specific E3 Direct thread before the conference?

Emily Rogers says that it is extremly likely that we will see Beyond Good and Evil 2 at E3, just because of the one image that Ubisoft posted on Facebook. Wii U exclusive for sure ;D

I just checked her twitter. She didn't say anything about BG&E2 being exclusive on Wii U. She didn't even mention BG&E2 and Wii U in the same sentence.

Patience, my friend. When it's appropriate I will post them, all of them.
The problem with posting MJ gifs is that it inspires me go off and watch all his music videos for the rest of the day, and I end up just dancing in my room for hours. Well, I guess that's not much of a problem.

The only thing we know right now are the silhouettes displayed on Nintendo's E3 page.

Pikmin 3, Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros, The Wonderful 101, Super Luigi U and a Mario one taken from Galaxy artwork.

Would people have not said the same about Bayonetta 2?

I didn't say that she mentioned the Wii U. That just came from me. Maybe it didn't come through cuz of my english.

if nintendo doesn't put together a better NFC Pokemon game then Rumble U they're wasting so much opportunity

What's wrong with Rumble U?

I have a feeling a game using NFC will be one of their big surprises this E3.

A Pokemon NFC game would be huge.

It'd also be disastrous.

Imagine, 750+ Pokémon (let's just take a random number of 756). All with figures. Assuming you don't want them like the relatively cheap Rumble U figures, but more like Skylanders so say $10 a figure. Add in the 30 extra for alternate forms, that's 786

786*10 = $7,860 on figures to collect them all, not counting shiny Pokémon.

It'd be extortion on the highest level. It would not happen, especially as Junichi Masuda is against forcing kids to pay to get extras in the game, which is why we won't see paid DLC in XY

Great choice of art! I wish the next Zelda would be hand drawn like that, or at least cel-shaded so it looked drawn that way. :P
I'm hoping the next Zelda goes with something more like Ocarina of Time 3D. Keep it simple, and focus on the gameplay! Besides, I think OoT is the ideal Zelda look because it allows for whimsical-looking people and environments, but dark, moody environments aren't sacrificed of their atmosphere either. The moody atmosphere of dungeons is sacrificed with more cartoony styles like Wind Waker's or Skyward Sword's.

But guessing what artstyle the next Zelda will be is always fun! Too bad we probably won't see anything on Zelda U until next E3, but the new ALttP looks great. The Wind Waker HD could end up being the best Zelda game ever if they streamline the sailing and add a dungeon or two. What are the chances of that?

never played it, just doesn't look anywhere near as good as Skylanders or Disney Infinity and nintendo should be better then that crap

The Rumble games are good fun, and figures even make logical sense in regards to it, as you control Toy Pokémon. They're not massively deep games, but they're enjoyable and they sell well.

Prediction:

Miyamoto throws a hat of money at Square mid-way through the unveiling of FFXV at the Sony conference. The next day, FFXV is announced exclusively for Wii U and development shifts to Wii U only and it ends up becoming next gen's Versus XIII. FFXVI and FFXVII come out on Ps4 and Xbone before XV releases.

I think it might happen.

Nah before that Versus becomes Wii U exclusive ... lol

I just realized: I'm going to see a "better quality" version of my favourite Ganondorf design in a few days :o

Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng

Bayonetta 2 was a canceled game though. Sure it's similar in a way but BG&E has been rereleased on XBLA and PSN and the original is far older and their development history has been fairly public. I still think a canned niche game is a different story than a niche game reboot that could be relaunched in a big way on all platforms.
