I'm still worried that the islands in TWW will look like an irradiated wasteland. It was never the character models that were a concern for me. It was always the glowing color palette for the landscape. But hopefully it looks nice in motion, like Nintendo Land in static screens (meh) vs. Nintendo Land in motion (wonderful!).

Someone posted a beta video of Raven Blade and that reminded me of Project HAMMER. And for some reason made me think, Nintendo has been trying to get like a character action game to happen for nearly a decade.

I it was DKCR2 it probably wouldn't be from Retro, and a new Donkey Kong game doesn't even mean it's DKC, it could mean a Donkey Kong 64 sequel.

It needs to be something with absolutely no baggage, to catch the eye of the people who don't give Nintendo's current franchise roster a second look.

I know it's not the same artwork, it's the same "style" of doing artworks for Mario Kart.
Mario looks always "meaner" and "cooler" on Mario Kart artworks than on 3D Mario artworks. ^^
I wouldn't take that as any confirmation, and why would Retro need to develop Donkey Kong? There are more studio's good enough to do it, I have a good feeling Retro's game is a new IP.

There's no way they'd put anything brand new on the lanyard, something that will be seen and given out before the Direct. Even if they're new renders it's all just Nintendo characters, nothing suggesting a brand new game. WW HD we already new about.
