oh i just picked up my badge and did a quick walk around the convention center for kicks. the atlus booth isn't up yet, but the nintendo booth is up and plugged in. almost everything is ready at this point.

What does the Nintendo booth smell like?

3D Platformers aren't a well represented genre. I don't think anyone would really care. Besides, I don't see anybody noticing that at e3 there are at least 6 shooters being demoed per year

It would definitely bother me...

"We have a zelda remake, three really good games where you jump on things, a kart racer starring all the characters in those jumping games, an olympic mini-game fest starring all the characters from those jumping games. A fighting game with all the characters from all the games. Also a weird little game that's really awesome where you control an army of flowers."

I mean.... those are some cool games, and I'm not counting Bayonetta, Wonderful 101, or X, but even so, that would clearly be a lack of variety... They need something else, something different, to round things out.

So I doubt if we're getting a donkey kong platformer, and if we are, I think the timing is bad.
